The Moon Villa was a very lovely place to stay. The villa was clean, and our room was very spacious - btw room service included. The owners were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to provide the warmest hospitality, making our stay truly unforgettable. We also booked the room with breakfast, which I highly recommend. The food is homemade and absolutely delicious, with a great variety of both Western and authentic Vietnamese dishes. The entire stay felt like being welcomed at a family home.

Belle villa avec piscine et bien placé

Super homestay. Entre l'acien village et la mer, beaucoup de restaurants autour. Belle piscine et beaucoup de verdure autour. Petit dejeuner prepare chaque matin, Vous choisissez la veille sur unr carte. Il y a des velos a disposition pour aller a la plage qui est a 3.5km. L'acceuil est aussi excellent.

Our group had a warm welcome from Madam Moon.We really had a very comfortable stay and felt really at home.Its just like home away from home.This homestay had most of what you expect while travelling.Its not 5 stars but its HOME.You can cycle quite easily into Hoi An ancient city and you can easily find suitable mini marts ,pharmacy and even a convenient morning market just round the corner.Good location indeed.

Top Homestay

Wir hatten zwei Nächte gebucht und konnten eine weitere verlängern. Die beste Unterkunft auf unserer gesamten Vietnamreise (Saigon--->Hanoi)! Personal von der Chefin bis zum Housekeeping freundlich und hilfsbereit, englisch ausreichend! Unterkunft ist sauber und in ruhiger Seitenstraße. Mit dem Fahrrad (kostenlos) kommt man prima an den Strand oder in die Altstadt. Der Pool war sauber und größer als die unserer Hotels! Frühstück wird, nach Auswahl am Vorabend, morgens, frisch zubereitet. Taxi zum Airport Da Nang über das Hotel 14$, Bus 110000VND, oder unterwegs auf andere Angebote schauen ;-). Wenn wir wieder in Hoi an sind, dann garantiert wieder bei Fau Moon.

Very nice visit in Hoi An

We had a great stay at The Moon Villa in Hoi An. Everybody who works there are super friendly and they do everything they can to make sure that you have an enjoyable stay. Madame Moon is also a tailor so we decided to have some dresses and shirts done, and they were done very fast (in less than 24 hours!), which was great since we were only staying 2 nights in Hoi An. The prices were good and we are very happy with the result, and it's very comfortable to have your tailor in the same plave where you are staying, for fittings and such. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable, the cooked-on-order breakfast was delicious, and the pool was very enjoyable. Also, the villa is situated just 20 minutes of walking from the beautiful Old Town of Hoi An. Overall, we are very happy with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone going to Hoi An!

A nice home stay villa

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. Our room was in good size with balcony, very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Fast wifi in the hotel . The breakfast was excellent with many choices. The hotel located at a quite street. With a easy 20 minutes walking to ancient town. Near by there was local market selling tropical fruits, convenient stores, and restaurants. The hotel was well managed by Mrs. Moon, all her staff were very helpful and cheerful. Moon also had a tailor shop in the hotel, we ordered a suit that was nicely done after a little change. We highly recommend this hotel to every one.

Great place to stay in Hoi An

A lovely bed and breakfast, midway between the beach and the old town in a residential area. I was in Hoi An to rest and relax after a stressful period, and Mrs. Moon was so thoughtful in letting me have my own privacy and peace and quiet, while feeling comfortable and safe.

'Over the Moon' -- Our experience at Moon Homestay

Staying at Moon Homestay was amazing, and just as amazing were Moon and her staff, especially Michael. They are always present (they never sleep!) and always ready to help ... and, as an extra bonus, they always do what they do with a huge smile. Not only did they provide us with accommodation, but they also provided us with great advice about Hôi An, as well as booking some excursions for us. The rooms are well equipped, and the large lobby area provides even more room for one to 'spread out', if necessary. The breakfasts are also excellent. The bespoke tailoring shop downstairs is another special feature. Although Hoi An is filled with other places that are happy to provide custom tailoring, the convenience of doing so within your homestay is very positive. Moon and her staff are able to work miracles, in incredibly little time. I should add that there is no 'hard sell'. One can feel quite comfortable with not taking advantage of such services (although it might be hard to resist the temptation). Staying with Moon and her staff is definitely a positive experience!

Verblijf was oké, maar niet speciaal. Ik had gekozen om een persoonlijk verblijf te hebben, Engels was echter gebrekkig en er was vaak niet iemand aanwezig om aan te spreken. Zwembad en ontbijt zijn goed en heel fijn dat je fietsen kan pakken en zo bij het strand of het centrum bent.

Great homestay!

Moon and her husband are running a wonderful homestay. We liked it so much that we stayed four nights longer than we had planned. Nice, spacious room with a nice balcony. The pool and the sun chairs were great. We used the bikes to get to the beach, which took us about 15 minutes. They even had a smaller bike for our younger daugther (no helmets, but we brought hers with us from back home). Moon and her husband are the nicest people, and they really made us feel at home. We had some clothes made, which we are really pleased with.

Best accommodation in Vietnam

Arrived very early in the morning off an overnight sleeper bus. Mrs Moon was great , had a room ready for us very quickly, All the staff were very friendly and helpful.The breakfast were the best we had and the pool was wonderful after a day out.

Fabulous!

I loved this place so much I stayed an extra two nights! The staff were really so friendly and helpful, rooms good size and clean, and the pool was an added bonus (required in 39'C heat! 20min walk to the old town and 13min bike to the beach. Bit noisy with construction but definitely recommend a great place to stay!

Wonderful experience !

We spent 13 nights at The Moon Homestay and loved the atmosphere, the facilities and the friendly owners and staff. The pool area is beautiful and a welcome place to relax. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Moon also has a tailoring business and we were very happy with items we had made. There is no hard sell at all which is a refreshing change in Hoi An. The hotel is between the Old Town and An Bang beach and there are plenty of local good cafes and the Pandanus spa within walking distance. Bikes are provided free and it is a very cheap taxi ride to Old Town or the beach . Moon will also book taxis or other outings for you. We would highly recommend this homestay. It is a very authentic experience.

Great homestay

My husband and I stayed here about a week and we loved it. The breakfasts were delicious, the room was very comfortable, and Moon and her family were very sweet. We walked to town many times (~10-15 minutes) as well as taking the bikes (~5 minutes), we also used the bikes to head to the beach. The pool was an incredible way to cool off after a long day of exploring. I would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing experience

Absolutely LOVED our stay at the Moon Homestay. My husband and I have been traveling for several months and were looking for a place we could unwind and feel at home. After a little research and reading positive reviews online, Moon's place seemed perfect. We ended up extending our stay in Hoi An to 16 days and had the most amazing time! Moon's family and staff are friendly, welcoming and seemed like old friends by the end of our stay. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and some even have a private balcony. We spent many evenings out there relaxing! A delicious breakfast was included with our stay - excellent coffee and the omelette was out of this world. I ate it almost everyday! Great wifi too. There's a lovely outside area with lounge chairs, tables and a pool. Moon's husband, Thanh, keeps the pool in pristine condition! We took advantage of the free bikes available and spent most days exploring around town. Moon is very knowledgable of the area and will help with recommendations and tours. Moon owns a tailoring business (Bespoke) that's inside the Homestay. I had several items made I highly recommend taking advantage if this HUGE perk! She can work off an existing style or custom match anything you want. Everything came out perfect! The prices are great and it's so convenient to have in-house. The location is a quick bike ride to downtown and the beach. If you're looking for a place that has character and isn't your typical resort experience, book her

Spacious Rooms

Moon does very well with her communication prior to arrival, which is much appreciated. She arranged pickup from Da Nang Airport for us, as well as pointing me to a website to arrange a bicycle tour. Our room was very spacious, with two queen beds and a large bathroom. Wifi worked well in the room. The chef was happy to cook our breakfast each morning to suit our dietary needs. The pool was so nice to be able to cool off in after a long walk downtown. When we first arrived, there was loud music from across the street, but it soon stopped before we were ready for sleep. There was construction going on next door (an extension to Moon Homestay we were told) but this didn’t interfere with our sleep. Good value and good staff, as well as having a tailor shop in house. While I didn’t have any clothes made, we saw lots of people having fittings and were happy with their items. Thank you Moon for an enjoyable stay.
