"The only complaint I have is they stock your room with alcohol, soda, water, snacks but you have to pay for it When checked into our room there was 2 empty spaces all in a row So I thought well maybe they don’t stock that spot We put our luggage up and went out to have fun in the casino. That we did After checkout I got a statement for the 2 things that were missing out of the refrigerator for $17.xx We were 24 miles down the road when I get this extra charge So my suggestion is if I ever stay there again I will have them come to the room and clean everything out of the room Thank God it was only 17$ it could of been what ever the hell they wanted to charge I do the same thing on my cruise ship I have the Stewart clean out all of the stuff out of the refrigerator upon our arrival"

"Staff excellent. Room very spacious and clean, but was quite cool. Needs a mirror in the room. It did get noisy from the casino on Saturday night. Didn't use casino. Meals good value. However an issue with the free breakfast on the second morning. Expedia said we had 2 free breakfasts per day as did the check in staff. But on Monday morning we were told they'd made a mistake and those booked through Expedia didn't get free breakfast even though we'd had it on Sunday. The manager did give us the breakfasts as we'd had it the day before but this is an issue between Expedia and the casino that needs to be resolved."

"Hits and misses: Hits: The outside looks great and the front desk staff was excellent. Very welcoming and explained things well. Only parking is Valet but was worth it as street parking is limited. As others have said the hotel is being renovated so there's some construction going on in the main areas (they state that up front when you make a reservation). Our room was good size and the bed comfortable. There was some wear and tear but it's an old hotel so don't expect new. There are some areas (bathroom) that needed general maintenance. Misses: The bar and restaurant staff could use some assistance or training. We tried the bar but ended up leaving and just going into town. We came back for dinner (we had reservations). The regular dining room is under construction so the current dining room is a back up. It's near the dishwashing area and you could hear people arguing back there. Not the atmosphere you want trying to enjoy a moderately pricey (for us anyway) anniversary dinner. The food though was fine. I'd go back to Cliff House if/when they work out some of the kinks."

"From the outside you can tell the building is older, the parking situation can be kinda confusing and sketchy- if it wasn’t for the signs we wouldn’t have known where to go. When you walk to the inside of the building you can tell right away the flooring is outdated. The gaming room needs a different kind of layout and they need to re do the felt on the pool tables. Other than that everything was great! The employees were super nice and helpful!"
