"The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out. "

"Excellent modern, clean hotel. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Free parking. First time staying there so received code after 2pm, for check in after 3pm. The code accessed the building and our allocated room key. Kettle with coffee/tea in room. Electric shower. The room was spotless and spacious. Comfy beds. The only downside is approx 10 min walk to the town centre but pleasant nonetheless. Would recommend."

"Staff was really nice, rooms were serviceable, bathroom needs a bit of care but clean. Easy to find not far from Oxford if you have a car. Beautiful courtyard behind hotel."

"The hotel itself was clean, rooms and toilet room were a good size. Would have been more convenient if the rooms had little fridges in them. Bar and lounge area and the garden were nice areas to sit in. More ice at the bar would have been nicer as well. "

"On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really. "

"From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

"Clean room. Location first class. Lots of choice on the menu. Drink prices far higher than all the pubs in tewkesbury. £7.50 for a medium pinot is ridiculous. Apart from that,a great visit. "

"Arrival and check in was all good, restaurant was good great food. We stayed with a wedding party, so we had quite a few rooms. I believe the rest of the parties rooms were fine however my room was on the second floor. We we had suitcases to carry to the second floor, large mother of the bride dresses with a large hat box and accessories. "Check-in was quick and easy and the person on reception was friendly. The room was quite dated, but spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great, with plenty of pubs and places to eat close by. I felt our stay was extremely good value for money."

"Love old pub with plenty of character. Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Great food, reasonable price. Choice of cooked breakfast or fruits, yoghurts, croissants, toast and juices etc. Lovely room. Everything you need to hand. Definitely stay there again. Would highly recommend. "
