Really good, definitely recommended.

Really nice. Owners very friendly and had excellent communication levels, breakfast was excellent, parking was private and ample, and use of the garden and living room was fantastic. Thoroughly recommended.

We received a very warm welcome with refreshments in the garden with our hosts. This house has history which becomes apparent when inspecting the quaint interior. Our room was small but comfortable with features matching the age of the property. Breakfast taken in the vine room were excellent with various choices. The pleasant guest lounge was comfortably furnished. Our hosts, Hillary and Graham, were warm and friendly. We would certainly use this B&B if staying in the area again.

Hilary and Graham are very welcoming. We were contacted before arrival with directions. They even had a pot of tea ready when we arrived which was very much appreciated. A nice comfy bed and ample en-suite bathroom. The cooked breakfast was really good with homemade fresh bread!!! We will definitely stay again.

Hostess very warm welcome. Good communication before arrival. Easy parking. Central to Chatsworth and NT properties. Quiet area but within easy access to all areas around. Take away food, shops etc not far away in next town. Accommodation extremely comfortable. Everything you could want has been thought of. Fridge available for milk etc. you can bring in own food to eat in dining room. Breakfast offers numerous choices and it all tastes good. Your own lounge to mix with others. Free access all day. Will highly recommend to others and will stay again if in area. Brilliant

Home from home.

We arrived and Hilary greeted us at the door. Hilary and Graham make you feel very welcome. Church Villa is cozy and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and it was like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers. Breakfast was excellent. We are already planning our next stay.

Solo 4 night mini-break.

Small but comfortable room, the bed was great! Old house so very creaky and uneven floor but that kind of added to the charm. The garden is lovely with sitting areas and the breakfast room led straight out there. Situated ideally for Chesterfield town and the Peak District. I would return to Church Villa B&B if I visit this area again.

An amazing ‘home from home’.

Stay here! Excellent location and amenities!

We have limited experience with B&Bs because much of our travel is corporate travel and hotels are the standard. Our experience here was as good or better than many hotels. The proprietors are friendly, knowledgable and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and the building was just what we had hoped for: hundreds of years old but with modern conveniences. We would happily stay again. We found the location to be very convenient for the Peaks District, Chatsworth, Bolsover Castle, and Hardwick Hall.

Thought it was going to be good but not THAT good!

From the moment I received a text, from Hilary and Graham, 10 days before my one night stay (giving the most friendly instructions and directions, I thought I might be in for an exceptional stay. I wasnt wrong! Church Villa isnt just a B&B. It is a beautiful house, with wonderful, attentive hosts, a comfortable bedroom (note: the en suite bathroom is superbly appointed with top quality fittings; including a "high level" loo). I was invited to sit with other guests in the sitting room in front of a roaring log fire. The breakfast, what can I say? Me: "I'd like an omelette please". Graham: "would you like it plain, with cheese, with mushrooms or with bacon?" My omelette with cheese was cooked to perfection. The best I have ever tasted! I was staying whilst on a photographic shoot as Santa. Ive already been rebooked for next year. So, Hilary and Graham, book me in next year!

5* hotel standards in a B&B

Hilary and Graham get it right from the moment that you arrive. A welcome as you leave the car, the offer of tea or coffee, a lovely guest sitting room with a log fire and taking the trouble to actually sit and talk to you while you enjoy your drink. The room was very comfortable with everything provided that you could possibly need. Breakfast in The Vine Room was outstanding in terms of both choice and quality. This will be my default booking whenever I need accommodation in the area. Thank you both for your hospitality.
