"Beach access wasn’t impressive. Building is a bit old compared to Radisson’s name. In Hua Hin competition is high and most other resorts offer better stay. That said, it was still well worth the $$$ in the day’s rate."
"If you are a non-smoker and like to be controlled by all means I've learned from experience booking these fancy Resorts with private beaches only means you are basically a prisoner cannot bring your own chairs to Beach or ice chest with drinks you must pay their outlandish overpriced beer and food I think when you book a resort you should have the freedom to do as you please when it comes to food and drink now as a smoker I find it appalling you cannot smoke on the beach at all no matter where I know people don't like to be around smoke and I respect that but common sense should come into play I have probably stayed in 40 or 50 resorts since I've been coming to Thailand over the years the only ones that seem to have a problem are the overpriced self-righteous ones like this one I actually checked in 2 hours later I checked out"
"I originally booked 3 nights...and extended to 6! This property is beyond fabulous. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, big balconies, friendly staff, incredibly huge pool, private beach, multiple restaurants, spa, fitness facility....it was just perfect. The one thing I will say is that it is NOT located in the tourist area of Hua Hin. Cha Am is about a 12-15min car ride to the busy streets, malls, etc. Cost about 140 baht on Grab (just under 5 dollars) If you're looking for the busy tourist zone this hotel is not walking distance. What you get at the Dusit is a super chill vibe, less tourists, less kids...(unless you book a weekend) and a wonderful place to unplug from the world. I had no problem getting a car into Hua Hin for shopping and some bar hopping but was very happy to return to the Dusit each night. The Dusit Spa is a bit pricey for Thailand so I did book massages on the Main Street of Hua Hin for local pricing (250-500 baht per hour) Note-if you go into the BluPort mall for a massage you will pay hotel prices also. Overall a superb experience and I will stay at this property again."
"I would never return to this Avani location! Not only inconvenient; communication with your on site team is poor to none. Food basic, restaurants all empty - we stood in the Aqua restaurant for 20 minutes @ 1pm no staff no service. Room service was great but the dirty plates sat outside for 2 days. Drinks good. Although we paid for an upgrade there was no really benefit and the walkout pool was nothing special we were isolated, the area didn't even look opened for the season, they placed us beside an unit that was being renovated - so when we were sunbathing and swimming we were watching and being watched by the people painting and moving furniture on the deck; vacation, peace and quiet? We were surprised by a Monitor lizard swimming 2 feet away from us OMG, we would never swim in that pool again. The beach is laughable. + handwritten receipt at check out, they over charged us 2,000 TBH per day (as they cant find the manger - had to ask them to spoke English as the were talking about us). Plus our requote for early check out due to there email about an Indian wedding being held at the hotel 3 of the 6 days we booked. All we needed was a week of no stress; that's not what we get. Just make it better for the next people visiting your location; bring this location up to the Minor Hotel standard!

"Loved this hotel! My only quip is that the Lanna needs a mosquito net. But honestly, the place is beautiful and I would probably risk another bite and stay again! :)"
