This property is ran/owned by a young couple. The room and bathroom were spacious and quite nice. Very clean as well. It looks as a place they are still working on. Specially the outer part of the house. The hosts were very kind and nice. I recommend them for your stay.

The property is not easily accessible by motorbike having just navigated some of the most hair raising hairpin bends on the way to the town to then be faced with a rough, gravel & wood, steep, bending path to park up next to the house! Thank goodness there was no charge for parking! Once settled, I can’t thank Max enough for the warm welcome (and cold beer!) and the hospitality shown to me. The views were amazing, the breakfast, taken on the top floor dining room, was full of variety and very enjoyable, especially looking out to the mountain views. The bedroom was above average size with a full size, very comfortable bed. I was surprised to find that there was no wardrobe but the vintage furniture was interesting and gave the room character, as did the squeaky floorboards 😁. I was , however, disappointed to find that I was sharing a shower room and toilet with the guests next door, when I understood I had an en suite. Maybe I misread the description. Be aware that the beautiful, modern and very efficient shower room may prove to be a bit of a tight fit for the more portly guest (not my problem!). The shower room/toilet were accessible via a small kitchen unit with a vast selection of coffees and teas to choose from, plus the use of an induction hob and a microwave..There are also two dogs on the premises which may be a problem for some people. An easy ten minute walk down the lane and there was a good choice of bars and restaurants. Overall I enjoyed my stay here.

Clean, friendly staff, room had a kitchenette which we didn’t really need to use but having a fridge is a real plus as a family traveling. It had a family B & B feel. Breakfast was great. The town center was a short walk and adorable. Only difficulty for us was driving with a fully loaded opal combo tour up the hill to this town was stressful!

Een tijdreis met een leerzame twist Bij aankomst voelde het alsof we een stap terugzetten in de tijd — naar het huis van mijn oma. En eerlijk is eerlijk: dát op zich was al een fantastische ervaring. Soms is het goed om even te beseffen hoe comfortabel we het tegenwoordig hebben. Het avontuur begon al bij het oprijden van de locatie. Tip: neem een compacte auto én een chauffeur met wat rallytalent, want parkeren vraagt om vaardigheid en zen-geduld. Eenmaal binnen ontvouwde zich een wereld vol charme en karakter. De bedden? Die hebben duidelijk veel meegemaakt — ze delen elke beweging met een vrolijk gekraak, waardoor je partner nooit echt iets hoeft te missen. De kamers daarentegen delen graag hun frisse persoonlijkheid: een temperatuur die je eraan herinnert dat wintertruien en sokken geen overbodige luxe zijn. Na drie vriendelijke verzoeken om wat warmte kwam de eigenaresse met een glimlach en de belofte van hulp. Helaas bleef de airco meer decoratie dan verwarming. We leerden dus improviseren lagen tegen elkaar, warme en een extra dosis relativeringsvermogen. De badkamer verraste ons dan weer met modern comfort, al bleek ook de douche graag les te geven in mentale weerbaarheid: van sauna naar ijsbad in een paar seconden. Voor een nachtje? Perfect.Een bijzondere plek die je niet alleen laat slapen, maar ook laat nadenken over comfort, dankbaarheid en de kunst van het glimlachend doorzetten. Kortom: als je houdt van avontuur dan is dit een verblijf die je nooit vergeet

On a bien aimé

Très bon accueil, chambre spacieuses, confortables et très calme. L'accès par le portail reste difficile. Le seul point noir c'est la partage de la salle de bain à 2 chambre. Ce n'est pas très pratique, et pour les toilettes, par forcément hygiénique. Malgré tout, la salle de bain était très bien tenue.
