"A lovely spot for relaxation .The appartments were lovely and comfortable .the only criticism was you do need a car to get any where. It is totally in the middle of nowhere.

"This was one of the best places we stayed. We hiked the Tuscany portion of the Via Francegena and this stop was the best. The hotel is uniquely refurbished to include the 1,000 year old structures. It was an absolute delight. Blanca, was particularity helpful and accommodating. This is the best place to stay"

we would live here if we could. beautiful family run place, far more care and attention to every little detail than you would ever expect in even the very best hotels. beautiful grounds set in vineyard and olive groves, resident animals, fantastic restaurant onsite and lovely staff. the setting is so beautiful that one afternoon we got back to our apartment to find people taking selfies with our apartment door.
our one suggestion would be to designate one of the pools as adults only as it did...

I hope to return to the wonder Sant'Lario!
I really enjoyed the warm hospitality, the variety and quality of home cooking at breakfast, quaint and romantic setting, the enchanting walk to the pool through forest trees and past a field of sunflowers, the clean and spacious room, the location (an hour from Florence and close to beautiful villages such as Volterra and San Gimignano) and the luxurious touches that made the holiday for special e.g. Seating area overlooking Sant'Larrio vineyard...

Hotel Sovestro is a friendly, relaxing place with two swimming pools and an indoor and outdoor breakfast area. Linked to the hotel next door is a lovely restaurant. Our stay was perfect at the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The continental breakfast choice is outstanding and the entire hotel is kept very clean and up together. The walk to San Gimignano was a little further than we anticipated but it can be done in a leisurely 30...

We loved the feel of the place...light and contemporary decor. Stunning views and lovely pool to lounge by.
Fantastic location and we visited Vinci and San Miniato (lovely restaurants) really close by. Of course went to San Gimignano and visited Lucca which we loved!
Hotel highlights...breakfast and pool. The dining room is beautiful and I would have quite liked to have part of it as a lounge to grab an evening drink and relax whilst enjoying to view.
Light lunches available in the daytime...

Our accommodation was Italian rustic, clean and well maintained. Martin and Rebecca were so helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant was amazing. The waitress was so friendly, it really made dining there a treat. The setting is beautiful and the wine is excellent! Definitely 5 stars.

Had a wonderful family stay here. It's a very quaint and rustic old villa on the edge of the town. The views over the Chianti wilderness from every window, the pool and the Breakfast patio are breathtaking.
We stayed in the Superior Suite as a family of four. You have a large living/bedroom with 2 singles, a single shower room, and a very large separate king room.
Breakfast is wonderful, served on the patio with views into the hills, and with a wide variety of options that change daily,with...
