Even before we arrived, we were contacted by the girls introducing themselves and asking if there was anything we needed. We arrived at By The Sea at midnight, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we wanted to stay longer.  It is the most friendliest welcoming hotel you can wish to visit. Excellent knowledgeable staff regarding local area and tours

I was travelling with my family and this was the last stop on their holiday so wanted something comfortable near the beach/shops and some quiet and privacy and this ticked all the boxes. Nice helpful family who own the apartments and nothing much more to add apart from it was a really great 5 night stay there

Fantastic location and nice quality spacious accommodation. Highly recommended! Only comments are that the hob (2 ring) was small if you are a foody and want to cook. The air conditioning in the bedroom was excellent but none in the living room which would have been preferred. The apartments are self catering, not serviced, which was fine by us.

Very good hotel

Great self catering option in a beautiful area with really great amenities. Lovely pool and BBQ area that we used - kitchen and apartment well equipped and spacious place. Few minutes walk from beach and all the shops, eateries etc. parking included and easy to access a bonus too. We had a great stay - really suitable for families.

Outstanding lodge in a nature reserve with great facilities and friendly helpful staff. The chalet accommodation was spotless, comfortable and very well equipped, and the location in the nature reserve was great. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Only stayed one night, but wish we had stayed at least one more. Having said that, it was not cheap, but good value for what was on offer.

We spent four days in the Alamanda in a 2 bedroom suite as part of a family reunion. The suite was spacious, comfortable. clean and surprisingly well-equipped - it felt more like a home than a hotel. The location is superb - right on the beach and backing on to a creek (sadly we never saw the crocodile that was reputed to live there!). And the facilities (three pools, including one for adults only) were all we could wish for.

We had a lovely stay, the location in port douglas was perfect with a nice walk to town. The staff were extremely helpful. The apartment was very spacious on 2 levels and perfect for 2 adults and an infant.

A great hotel in a great location with nice, comfortable rooms and a fantastic choice at breakfast.

Wholeheartedly recommend staying at green island! Spend the extra money and stay 2-3 nights instead of a day trip! Never have been so well looked after! Absolutely brilliant and relaxing & the wildlife is amazing!!

The staff were helpful and friendly upon arrival. The facilities were good, we used both the pool and gym. We also had the breakfast buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Excellent 2 bedroom penthouse apartment with everything you would need. An amazing pool which was warm and a joy to spend time in and plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar.
