The property managers, Ed and May, are very welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was very clean and well equiped with everything you need. The location is perfect, but you do need transport, with shops nearby and the beach across the road. There were markets at the beach on the Saturday with local crafts so a nice touch. A relaxing place to stay so if you are looking for a rowdy weekend this is not for you and for good reason. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

Three days at Yorkeys

The York is perfectly located on the beachfront at Yorkeys Knob and east walking distance to supermarket and cafes. Yorkeys Knob is much quieter than Trinity Beach or Palm Cove so the choice of dine out options without a car is limited but this also means it is not busy. Our apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable however the decor was a little dated. The grounds including the large pool are very well maintained and the on-site managers were very helpful. I would stay here again.

Comfortable stay near the beach

The York was a great place to base ourselves for a couple weeks. It was clean, comfy, and quiet. We enjoyed having a nice big balcony and a pool, too. Managers Ed and May (Mai?) are very personable, helpful, and easy to talk with. We would go back, for sure.

The unit was very quite and relaxed there is no sea view or partial sea views due to the trees across the road. The area cane be quite noisy on dusk and sunrise due to the flying fox families that live in the bush behind the units. But otherwise i loved the less traffic flow than other beaches. Very clean unit and very safe area Thank you Ed

I enjoyed my stay but didn't get any advance communication about the check-in until the morning of, which I didn't see, and they seemed a bit annoyed when I arrived at 6pm - mentioned they were waiting for me as I hadn't responded. Unit had everything I needed, but some kitchen stuff seemed old and a bit grimy. Unit is a bit dated, but had everything I needed and priced well. There is no real ocean view as it's completely blocked by trees, so just be aware. That said, it is right across the street from the ocean/beach, so nice for walks, etc.

Quiet, stylish, perfectly located, comfortable and the staff were nice. The bed rolled a bit on its wheels but otherwise everything else was perfect. Room had a DVD player which was a nice touch.

A great property in a quiet location. We had a spacious one bedroom apartment. The balcony was a quiet spot to enjoy the sights and calmness of Yorkey's knob.

Not happy

Our room needed a serious update. The lounge and bedroom furniture were very uncomfortable. The bedroom was quite hot at night even with the fan and aircon going. The robe was small and inadaquate for extended stays, as were the kitchen cupboards. We got limited to no phone reception in our room. In our two week stay the sheets and towels were changed however there was no other housekeeping done. Numerous other problems that were not up to a satisfactory standard.

Super Appartement mit allem drum und dran

Das Appartement hat alles, von Küche über Waschmaschine, gute Betten und eine schöne Terrasse. Das York liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und auf der anderen Strassenseite gehts gleich an den Strand. Der Pool im gepflegten Garten bräuchte es in dieser Jahreszeit gar nicht. Der Hammer ist aber Karen, welche uns unermüdlich geholfen hat unser Transportproblem zu lösen-vielen Dank liebe Karen!. Sie ist eine Perle und als Chefin toll.

Hotellet hadde ikke fått reservasjonen fra Expedia, men manageren ordnet alt på beste måte. Vi leide her for å kite på stranden på Yorkeys Knob. Perfekt gangavstand (300 m) til kiting lunch area fra hotellet! Litt dødt i nærområdet, men med bil er det en halvtime til City center.
