"The location was ideal. We stayed in three places in Madeira and this was our favourite. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite small. Bed was very comfortable and air conditioning worked well. We had a deluxe room with balcony overlooking the bay which was nice. Breakfast was good and is served on the roof so you can enjoy the view. Parking is nearby at a busy public lot. Guys hang out there to assist you in finding a spot. Just have to be patient and give them a tip! "

"Lovely atmosphere without any kids. The hotel was fully booked but didn't feel crowded. The deluxe room was worth it - lovely coffee from the coffee machine and a little bar/fridge & robes. The location was a short way uphill out of the town but in a nice area and not a long walk for anyone with reasonable fitness, There were plenty of buses. You could walk downhill to a bus stop and get off further uphill on the way back. There was also a hotel minibus into the town. We had a great stay! "

"In Ponta do Sol aus meiner Sicht das beste Hotel. Direkt am Meer, toller Blick auf Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang! Vielseitiges Frühstücksbuffet, könnte aber qualitativ besser sein (Kaffee, Gebäck, Eierspeisen waren in anderen Hotels besser, Obst dafür sehr vielseitig). Hallenbad direkt neben der Lobby: einerseits positiv wenn man als Familie reist, aber etwas störend im Eingangsbereich. Ich empfand den Preis zu insgesamt hoch für das Hotel, auch wenn wir insgesamt zufrieden waren."

"The hotel is very old fasion. The food in both breakfast and dinner was very dissapointing - not wjat would you expect from a 5 stars hotel. The air conditionin the room was noisy. Check-oit took a lot of time. The staff in the reception was not so kind."

"Great location. Close enough to walk everywhere but not right in the midst of a super busy area. Parking was very convenient right behind the building. Bathroom was well lit and had great shower pressure. Breakfast room was very nice and had a variety of options. Roof top was lovely (pool unheated). I was also surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine on my birthday. The only negatives were the beds and room temperature. The AC would not stay at a cooler setting and the beds were not breathable...
