Washed up seaweed at Bean Hollow State Beach. A little beach along the Pacific Coast Highway just 17 miles south of Half Moon bay. It features interesting landscapes shaped by years of erosion. Great for low tide beach combing.
Strange landscapes like this is but another reason why I recommend the Pacific coast highway trip should you find yourself in California on day :)
