"We booked this hotel thinking it was the other Solar Antigo down the road which we had stayed in before. When we arrived at the wrong one, the staff members greeted us and explained the mistake I'd made. "I don’t imagine you could do much better than this in the heart of Viana do Castelo. They’ve done a really nice job fixing up this building for guests. Clean comfortable rooms, and charming common areas for relaxing and enjoying a drink or coffee. You are right on the main street of VDC and can walk to everything."

"Blood stained sheets upon lifting pillow. Other unknown stains on sheets and mattress cover of both beds. Bunk bed combo double bed on bottom. Long hairs on bathroom sink. Re. this one, the owners conveniently forgot to mention that there is a COMMON bathroom for all the bedrooms on the floor (one bathroom for seven rooms on the floor where I stayed).
