"River Dance cottage is a comfortable.clean and well presented holiday stay. The owners go to great lengths to ensure you feel welcome, and also have everything you need. A welcome pack of wine and tasty cookies are left for you to enjoy, the cottage has a fitted kitchen with all amenities. The towels are thick and fluffy too. "On arrival could have done with better signage as to where to park as we ended up parking at Forbidden Corner. Also not easy to find Reception and when we did find there was no-one there for 10 mins. Room nice, dressing gown and slippers nice touch. Had evening meal in the bar which was ok and staff were attentive. Meals on the Sunday finished at 5 and bar closed which was inconvenient. We were informed no staff on site again until Wed. We couldn’t boil kettle Mon morning as electric went off...

"Quick check in, we asked for a room at the back, we were given room 8. Nice room, comfy bed, pillows a little flat. Lovely shower room with waterfall shower, nice toiletries. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so the room of course was hot, we opened the windows. Had our meal in the hotel, we shared a ploughman's platter with a couple of extra sides which was very nice. Also bought a bottle of wine. We sat outside after the meal to look at the lovely view. "The accommodation pod was a walk outside to the bathroom facility. The pod had a kettle but no water! There were no mirrors in the pod. Altogether a bit disappointing!"

"Didn’t like having the risk of leaving the key in the separate though private bathroom. No staff available. Though we didn’t use the Lounge or cutlery/ crockery the amenities nay well be useful for others. Place ok for a budget stay. Area was beautiful"
