"This is an excellent location, about 15-20 minutes outside of Galway. The room was clean, included two twins and was comfortable. We were on the top floor which was up two flights of stairs, only annoying when bringing the luggage in. By far the most disappointing hotel stay of our Ireland trip. Room was visibly worn and poorly maintained. Multiple visible stains on bedding, bed area and upholstered furniture (see photos). "We booked for one night, and were looking forward to using the spa facilities. When we arrived, we were told that they were shut for refurbishment. Apparently, this work has been going on for some time. I was told an email had been sent out. I did not receive any email. The hotel has a duty to let people know such things, so they have a choice of changing their plans. I noticed a lot of unhappy people that weekend. They are not afraid to charge top prices, and yet offer very little in return."

"I wanted ground floor unit due to 2 people having mobility issues. sent property a request for this with no reply. arrived to be told on 2nd level with stairs as the only access. asked if we could change to ground level & told no sorry. This made our stay difficult for the ones navigating the stairs with their mobility issues "

"We booked two rooms at this property only to be told upon arrival that they had misread the booking and only were in a position to give us one room, this was due to the fact they had just sold the other room, good way of making extra money. We did ask the hotel for a return on the other rooms cost but they declined and laughed saying well at least we have one room for you. Would never use this hotel again and would advise Hotels.com to remove it from their site."
