Beautiful craftsmanship seen throughout it, bartender was a humorous fellow, and all the staff was great. Breakfast was delicious as well with good showers and the bed was comfy. Our room had a sunroom, not just a deck, so it made it possible to enjoy tea in the brisk morning. One note, the carpet is older, but beauty of the woodwork, marble, and other aspects more then make up for it.

Booking made in error due to computer glitch, explained to hotel and hotel.com, but no change. We needed a different day, and would subsequently book that date, and a date further out, plus eat the inhouse hotel restaurant. They were not willing to change, so we booked a different hotel, twice, and will spend our money there.

thank you for your feedback! If you accidentally book a non-cancellable rate and then want to change the accommodation period when we are completely booked, unfortunately there is nothing we can do. We always change when possible!

I am so sorry for that! We cleaned up the room ... this is an european problem at the moment :-( that can be happen in all hotels... they come from the guests to the hotels. At that day we were completelly full. I am so sorry!

Great hotel in a busy area.
Hotel is up to date and rooms are spacious, breakfast is very good and staff is attentive. Unfortunately we had an off smell that seemed to come from the bathroom that we couldn't negate. Perhaps it is from the plumbing or due to construction work going on in the street, not overpowering but just enough to disturb your senses. There is an underground parking facility which was very helpful but parking is tight, some customers had no where to park.

Nice older hotel next to U-Bahn stop!
Plenty of space with large room. Hasn't been updated in a loooong time, but a perfect quick stay for a concert within easy walking distance to the Porsche and Mercedes arenas and fest grounds. Friendly staff and a better than average breakfast, which was a nice surprise. Clean and comfortable!

Room was not as advertised on the website. It was in very old condition, not renovated as you see in orbitz. We reserved a room with queen bed but they gave us twin beds. We cannot change to another room because they were fully booked. So they offered us one bottle of beer.

I am so sorry about it. The room is the same as you booked (you can see it on the pictures in all categories) Every catergorie is different.I am so sorry for the problem with the bed. Sometimes we can not arrange for all guest what they preferred by choosing bed typ. :-( I am so sorry!

Gem of a hotel
This hotel is a gem. We had a superior room which was beautiful. Very well furnished and extremely spacious. Very comfortable. There is a U-Bahn stop right outside the hotel. It has a very attractive bar with a good range of drinks and the included breakfast in the morning was superb. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Stuttgart

"Beds" were nothing but uncomfortable and unpleasant boxes. Shower ws leaky. Breakfast closed before due closing hour. Dingy looking place. Had to park 2 blocks away.

I am so sorry about that what happens. I cant believe that our breakfast closes before official opening. Our breakfast time is 6:30am to 9:30am.

The Hotel was near the Porsche Museum which was our destination. Everything was good including the breakfast. The wifi signal was a bit weak in our room which we mentioned when we checked out.

Nice for a quick stay
Room was comfortable and not small for me traveling alone. I parked in front with only a few spaces available and took the U-Bahn subway line to get to downtown Stuttgart to get out and about. Very good breakfast with good scrambled eggs and breads. No English channels I could find but didn’t sit around room a lot so no big deal.

Person at front desk when we checked in was rude, not just to us, but others as well. Rooms are not always as advertised. We reserved two Superior rooms, one was, but the other was old without any significant remodeling, with no temperature control, and not as pictured in advertising. When management was asked about a change or refund, they claimed that the room was still considered a "superior" room. So be aware that your room may be downgraded from your booking with no change in pricing. Parking available on-site is very limited and small so you better have a small vehicle. On the positive side, their breakfast is quite nice and the hotel is very close to a metro station. The superior room that we did receive as pictured was nice, but the bed is very hard.

The hotel is very old and stately. The opening picture on orbitz reflects an updated room. This was not our experience. I had to sleep last n the cold of a futon, not a bed. Also there was not any air conditioning so it was very warm.

Great value for money, nevertheless. Boat-style.
Very good hotel in a quiet place of Stuttgart. The team is extraordinary, from reception to the breakfast service. The hotel is a very unique style, like if you live in a boat. Yet requires a bit of renovation, I believe. Great value for money, nevertheless.

Love this place

Das Preis- Leistungsniveau ist wirklich gut. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber verbreitet den Mahagoni Charm der 70er. Sehr großzügige Zimmer, kann das Haus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Tolles Zimmer, nettes Personal, gutes Frühstück, sauber und gepflegt. Einziger Kritikpunkt war die Baustelle zur Renovierung der anderen Zimmer auf dem selben Gang.

Die Zimmer in der normalen Kategorie sind etwas veraltet, aber für den Preis ganz okay. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Frühstück war mega lecker. Parkplätze waren leicht zu finden.
