In a really sketchy covered alley which isn’t evident from the photos. Also located in a rough area with some interesting individuals floating around at night, which would explain the presence of army/police personnel. Not safe, especially for young women in my opinion. Hotel is severely dated, built in the 60s and hasn’t been touched since. Hairdryer blew out smelly air, and looks like an old style vacuum more than anything, was dirty and past its best. Shower cubicle is laughable, absolutely tiny and difficult to move in. Room itself is basic but tired. Our window was shuttered close 😂 Bed pretty firm but not awful. Acoustics of the place are terrible, you can hear EVERYTHING. Only thing going for it was the 2min walk to Pisa Central, which is ideal because you’ll want to leave.

I enjoyed our stay in Hotel La Pace. The room was comfortable (although not the best views, however it was an economy room) and clean, the towels were changed and bed tidied every day when we were out. We had a small issue with the toilet flush which was fixed in less than 2 hours. The only thing could be improved is the wifi - it was quite weak and we were unable to use our devices as the roaming was not the best either.

Tired property flaking and stained paintwork. Shower leaked on to floor. No lights in the corridor. Entrance in near derelict alley. Well past its best.
