Place is a little run down however for the price is very good, staff are efficient but by no means are they in a hurry, close to markets easy walk to beach or walking at Will stay there again

Rooms not great, very hard beds, Internet hit and miss, towels old and grey coloured with holes need replacing! Very budget hotel but it was also cheap so you get what you pay for. Suited me as needed to be near dentist. Pool was clean and good with adequate loungers, pool towels done better than others. Close to otop market. On if you're not too fussy and want cheap, would not stay here again though.

The property’s it need major renovations to bring it to modern standard. Staff difficult to deal with, when their is problems. There not much variety in breakfast, same every morning, u less they have function the night before. The leftover is breakfast the next morning.

Nice hotel and good location Only small problem for me was many times you are at the pool bar and waiting for ages for someone to serve you , but for a hotel the drinks are cheap even cheaper than all the bars The staff are friendly and the pool is a good size and plenty of sunbeds

Upon check in the counter staff were very helpful and pleasant. We had an issue with our safe so they sent some to repair who hung around for 20 minutes then took our safe as it was defective. We then were told he would be back in ten minutes which we waited and never saw him. We went out with our possessions we didn’t want to lose and came back later that night to still find no safe. When I asked staff where my safe was I was brushed off. We also had a spill from a previous guest that wasn’t cleaned in the room. And the fridge had a massive puddle of water in it. The stay was Ok but wouldn’t return on these basis. Room was a 5/10 for the rate we paid. Would not spend more then a $100 Canadian a night on that hotel.

This is the second time We have stayed here. First time was a pool access room which I couldn’t fault this time we stayed in a deluxe room which needs repairing floors boards starting to lift up chairs outside where suppose to be white but they were very dirty from being outside power points coming off walls and not charging phones etc very well. Wifi is bad kept dropping out all the time and had to sign back in to wifi when it did drop out. Apart from that beds were comfy hard but not hard as some beds we have slept on Staff are fantastic very welcoming and polite.pool is great. I would stay here again As the location is very close to otop and about a 15min walk to Bangla

Deeply disappointing
I first stayed in this hotel 10 years ago, and I was frankly shocked in the decline in standards. The room I was given on the fourth floor was, to say the least, deeply disappointing. There was an unpleasant, damp smell in the room throughout my four night stay. Even opening the window every day made no difference. I was also kept awake every night by loud music coming, I think, from the Hard Rock cafe opposite. The Wifi was extremely hit and miss and was so inconsistent that I could not do my necessary work on my laptop. Most travellers expect good and consistent Wifi as a minimum. On the plus side, I must say that our cleaning lady was lovely and friendly. The final straw was that on my last full day the toilet would not flush. A staff man came to fix it but I was to discover on returning to the room almost at midnight that the whole floor was flooded and I was forced to go four floors down to use the general toilets. I couldn't shower on my last morning. When I asked Dear, the front office manager, for a refund she point blank refused on the spurious grounds that I had not reported the flooded floor at midnight! On no account would I recommend this sad establishment.

Really liked this hotel. The staff was awesome and the pool was amazing. The rooms were fairly large for the price and clean. The downsides: the bed was pretty hard and the buffet wasnt fantastic. Not a big deal since i found a coffee shop I liked down the street

They tried putting us in a room initially which was next to some construction work. We complained and they never apologised it was like they expected us to do it, so they were trying their luck with us. The room they put us in after wasn’t much better, it had no balcony and was directly opposite a Hard Rock Cafe which played music until the late hours of the night. Steam room and Sauna wasn’t working our entire stay and the wifi was probably the worst I’ve come across.

Not a 4 star hotel.
Rooms very old and out dated Mattresses hard as a rock. Very wet old damp smell. Noisy..Aircon blew warm air. Elevator kept breaking down.

Old out dated need over holes everything is old they are not friendly on the front desks. They need to change how to respect customers booked by website ask for receipt when I leaving nasty way you take your receipt from website you book with it . I will never recommend this place to the people I don’t like

Property is very central and within walking distance of major shops. 1 minute walk to O-Top Market. Room was excellent with good facilities, however wasn't swept each day. Hotel staff had very limited english, however a smile speaks all languages. Buffet was limited and the same each day.

THE MANAGER AND SUPERVISOR COULD NOT HELP US!!
We are very very very disappointed with the manners and how they treated us on our last day of our trip. We rented a motorbike and parked outside the hotel around 1am. The next morning we had a pick up service for our island hopping activity and when we get back around 4pm and wanted to stroll around with our motorbike we found out that there are some damage with the bike already!! And no one was admitting who touched it nor bumped with it. We were very very disappointed how they handled the situation. We asked for a cctv and the supervisor said they would look into it in the next 2hours, so we took a shower and just wasted time in the room for awhile, but after 2 hours there was no cctv provided reason was there was no more IT in the office to check on it. The securities was saying that around 4pm we used the bike! And that it was our fault that It got damage!! how could we damage it when we know that there was a fault already! The manager said that they have contacted the I.T and could provide CCTV in 30mins. so again, we waited and had dinner around, when we got back after 40mins, THE MANAGER HAD LEFT THE HOTEL AND NO CCTV AND NO ONE COULD HELP US AT ALL. Disgusting service! We were so frustrated and so mad that no one was able to man up and admit it. We are sure they know who was it but just trying to cover it up. We had to pay 10000baht for the damage that we didnt even make!!!!!! IMAGINE ON OUR LAST DAY!!! How much money we have left!! DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!!!

I had booked two rooms from the pictures displayed on the website. When we arrived there wad only one room booked and it was nothing like the picture displayed. I complained and was told that was the room and that was it. I asked to speak to the Manager and it took 40 minutes of arguing with the receptionist before the Manager finally came out.> They said that they were booked out and we had to stay two nights in the one room and then would be upgraded after that, which we were.This hotel is lucky to be a 2 star hotel and nothing more. The admin staff were rude and not helpful and very argumentative. They have no idea of Customer Service.I have photos of the room and the urgent needs for the required repairs. The toilet leaked, the flooring did not meet and caused you to catch your feet, the bath was disgusting and in the first room there were electrical street wires running next to the verandah.I am so disappointed with this hotel and would never recommend it to anyone, it spoilt our holiday. This is not up to Expedia's standards and it was only when I called Expedia that they offered to upgrade us. The Manager told me it was Expedia who had been misleading and that a lot of their Customers complained. I had to show the website to show them the photos and then she agreed to the upgrade. This was a terrible experience and I use Expedia and the sister Company Last Minute for all my travel up until now. Very misleading advertising and disappointing.

Disappointing
We have stayed at the Baumanburi a number of times in the past but possibly never again. We were allocated a "Superior" room in the front section of the hotel overlooking a busy road. In our previous stays we were unaware that there was even a possibility of return visitors being relegated to such average facilities. The balcony had a very noisy A/Con which rattled away all night and blew hot air on you if you chose to sit outside.The bathroom basin has only cold water. The shower was very nice but lacking in handrails for support. Our return visit was for our 55th Wedding Anniversary and was duly noted on our booking form to the hotel on but that was of no concern to the very indifferent lady who was in charge at the reception desk. There was to be no discussion about room allocations and that was the end of story. Aod at the breakfast was very attentive and looked after us well. Just felt let down on this visit overall.

This hotel only caters to middle eastern customers. The breakfast was not suitable for Westerners at all, in the 21 days we were there, Bacon was not on the menu for breakfast, mainly it was Halal food so the only thing left was egg and toast. The seats in the lobby were few and far between and what was there was uncomfortable to sit on. The lift floor was constantly wet with people walking from the pool without drying themselves properly. The chairs in the room and balcony were solid timber chairs and were very uncomfortable to sit on.
