Nice place!
I had a great stay at Thalassa. It’s located on the small walk street along Sairee Beach that has all the shops and restaurants. My room had a fantastic king sized bed parked on a teak wood platform with lots of pillows. There was a choice between 3 breakfasts included with the room - all looked delicious. Nice place at a good price!

Centrally located in Sairee village right next to restaurants and shops. Modern building with cleverly designed rooms. Very clean, attentive staff and a nice restaurant on the ground floor.

Location location location!
This hotel is centrally located. Perfect location to walk to the main beach, bars, restaurants and shops! The staff were helpful and friendly and went out of their way to prepare a surprise birthday cake for my 40th birthday. What a lovely gesture that will never be forgotten! If I can give a word of advice it would be to service the aircons as they took a long time to cool the rooms down and sometimes had dripping water. The wood inside the rooms looks dated and needs attention. Other than that there is not a problem with this well situated and prices hotel!

Koh Tao stay
They offer a free shuttle from the pier. They sent an email requesting my arrival info which I sent. It was not confirmed. When I arrived during a festival, it was not working. When I took a cab, they offered a free trip back at the end. That was the only negative of the trip. Hotel was a good value. Clean. Reasonably good breakfast though not many choices.

Great location,room over priced for what it is,we had problem with A/C, and had to move to a other room, facities in room, no kettle nor glasses for drinks etc.

I was changed the room for 3rd times, First room was very noisy due to the air condition concerned and pump all night, second room the air condition doesn’t worked and pump all night same issues so I can’t slept, was very disappointed.

It looked shady at first sight but it was actually pretty, very spacious and very clean. The only downsides were that the bathroom smelled bad the first day ( they may have forgotten to air it ) and the internet is rly rly bad.

Great location, great stagg but small rooms in a seperate building. Should cover the showers so that water doesnt go everywhere in the bathroom.

Morden hotel in a good location
Really enjoyed staying here as the room was very comfortable however there was an unpleasant smell from the drains in the bathroom.

Priceworthy hotel
This is a good hotel for this price, it's a bit worn (especially the bathroom) but it's quiet (if your room is facing the right direction) and clean. Friendly staff but no extra-ordinary service. I would book again. There's no pool that belongs to the hotel.

Comfortable and very helpful!
The room was great very quiet and very comfortable bed. Aircon worked great too. I accidentally left my house keys and driving permit in the safe. I called up as i was at the ferry and they drove them over to me!! I tried to offer some extra money but he would not accept, thank you!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent managed hotel!
This Hotel is located in the center of the action in Koh Tao. Within 100 mts you will find Sairee Beach, shops, restaurants, taxi boat, taxi car, bars, diving centers, etc. The hotel is basic but very well plan and managed. Room is big, clean and safe. The breakfast is great for my taste has three options. Wifi is good in the room, The electric plug is either US or European with several available in the room. There is a room safe. One minor problem encountered was solved by hotel staff with professionalism and enthusiasm.

A pleasant stay overall. Located right in the drinking strip of town, this hotel was noisy in the evenings (until about 11pm weekdays) but an otherwise comfortable stay with decent room size, close to restaurants and bars and the beach - helpful especially with two rainy days on the island. Staff were good with loan of free snorkel gear and storing bags. They kindly arranged transport to the pier but when we were picked up no hotel staff were there and the taxi driver booked tried to be unscrupulous and charge us more at drop off - I don't expect to haggle when pre-arranged with the hotel.

Great hotel with super helpful staff. The snorkeling around Koh Tao was incredible. Prepare to pay higher prices for the taxi's around town. The hotel is right in the middle of the nightlife and next to the best bucket drink bar. Our room was a little noisy some nights so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are looking for total quietness. The beds are decently comfortable and soft compared to other hotels in Thailand. The room was clean except for some sugar ants and other bugs but it's Thailand!

Good hotel for what it is.
Overall a good hotel in a good location. It is not on the beach but its like a 5 min walk to the beach. The hotel is in a busy street/area with bars, restaurants, 5 dive shops and all kinds of fun. You come out of the hotel and u are in the middle of a party but at the same time the room was not noisy and heard nothing while sleeping. The beds are simple matresses on a raised platform but not bad. I would say simple rooms but good for the location and price. Special thanks to the desk staff who was always helpful and even called another hotel to arange pickup for our next destination. For those looking for a location with a nice beach understand that u will not find it in this part of koh tao the beach is small and if you walm 300 m to the right you will find lounge chairs but still not a fancy beach. For that go to koh lanta or puket or another 50 islands. Koh tao is a great diving and party location.

Superb location
Thalassa Hotel is located on a busy street filled with great restaurants, shopping stalls and street food! It is super close to the beach and is on the same road as bars where the Koh Tao Pub Crawl meet! Definitely recommend checking out that too if it's your sort of scene! The hotel rooms are super clean and the aircons work great! Only negative would be the room smelt of light sewerage at times, but that's the same for other places on the island due to plumbing issues. Just keep the toilet closed and bathroom door closed to help keep the smell away.

Hotel was perfect for what we wanted which was to be located centrally. The breakfast was lovely and arrived, soon after you ordered it. They also organised transfers for us at 200 baht to and from the pier, which was very convenient (cheaper than the taxis). Staff were friendly. The rooms were ok, bed sheets were ripped and found a wristband in my bed,, other than that it was clean and basic. In line with the price though, we were very happy with our stay.

We booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere basic and clean to stay whilst diving. This hotel lived up to that and more. There were no bugs in our room at any point. The bed was very comfortable and the room spacious. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful no matter what time of the day. We arrived very early (10am) and left quite late (1.30pm) and they accommodated this for us at no extra cost. Despite being on a busy street, we did not hear any noise. However, we had requested a room at the back of the hotel and this was reserved for us. Could be improved with better options for breakfast.

The hotel is nice, clean rooms. I advise to take the uneven number rooms, becouse those are facing the more quite back side. Its location is good if you want to go to snorkling/ diving or to enjoy the near beaches. Basicly, usualy people take a toor for about 600 baht for snorkling around the island the whole day, so don't bother to search hotels that are close to snorkling spots, becouse then you will be far away from the resturants, and so.

halassa hotel is a lovely hotel hidden just a couple of minutes away from sairee beach. its along the same street as a convenience store, shops, bars, restaurants, but still manages to keep the noise away at night. the reception is 24hr and the street on which its situated is generally safe. the breakfast is amazing, the wifi reliable, theres also a safe and refrigerator in the room. do take note that there are no elevators within the building so you might want to book early for a lower floor room or request for one if you're travelling with heavy luggage/elderly. the only drawback i suppose would be that the arrange transport from the pier to and fro the hotel has certain limitations - the one that i arranged for when we arrived didn't meet us at the pier, and according to the staff they only have two timings for transport to the pier - 9am and 230pm, when my ferry leaves at 930 am.... other than that i would definitely go back again.

It was loud every night from the street. Stay at this place if you're really into the Sairee beach scene. Staff were helpful, but not polite. No phone in the room if you needed to call the front desk, no room service.

Stay right in the lively streets of Sairee where the action is, beach access only a few steps away. The hotel offers good Wi-Fi and friendly service, and an inhouse restaurant. We stayed off season, so I don't know how noisy it gets. If the Pub Crawl is across at Choppers, it's best to join them anyway. Cheers, folks.

Lovely and good value hotel next to beach/bars :)
Thalassa hotel was smack bang in the middle of Sairee beach. Small, but well decorated rooms with the most comfy beds we found in Thailand. Bathroom would get very hot/steamy qhrn showering. Free WiFi is good in rooms. Good air con in rooms. Free brekkie in the morning (choose one of three options). Free snorkel gear, but check before you use as ours leaked. Friendly staff helped find bikes, taxi, etc. Loved their free wine at happy hour!! On a busy party street (with choppers bar and the Koh tao pub crawl a couple of doors down), so ask for a non street-facing room if a light sleeper.

Peaceful, modern and perfect!
Booked this hotel last minute after I decided to extend my stay in Koh Tao and wanted a central location as a solo female traveller... was so pleased I did. The staff at Thalassa do everything possible to make your stay a comfortable one, and the executive King room I had was a cool, modern and very clean space to escape the heat and chill out after a Koh Tao night out!

Lovely hotel, clean and bright. Felt very safe here. The room was a good size with good air con and a comfy bed. The rooms are smart and the bathroom was good. Breakfast included in the room rate at the restaurant next door which was lovely although slightly small portions. A safe in the room and a well stocked mini bar with good prices. It's on a street with lots of restaurants, shops, bars and good street food stalls. 7/11 just at the end of the road which was very handy. The vibe in the area is great, there's always people about and always something to do. 2 minute walk to the beach, good for sunbathing and great for swimming, full of restaurants and and bars perfect for enjoying cocktails as the sun goes down, easily one of the best sunsets we've seen. Really good stay here perfect location.
