Kata Palm is real relaxing with an amazing pool. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hotel is located 10min from the beach. The breakfast buffet has a wide spread on food (Thai and Continental). The street in front of the hotel is busy with tourist, shopping and restaurants.

Beautiful pool and 10 minutes walk from Kara beach
Thai style reception area. Checkin and out takes a while because of large quantity of rooms and smaller reception area. Pool a highlight. Shower only. 10 minutes from kata beach. Lots of restaurants, massages, street food. Breakfast plentiful.

Good breakfast and hotel choice for the price I pay. No frills hotel, 5 to 10 mins walk to beach. Kata beach round the corner rocks, good place for shallow snorkelling.

The beautiful river pool is so enticing and entertaining. If it was on the beach it would be perfect. Still, it’s only a 10 minute walk to the beach. We loved our pool access room and it’s worth paying for.

Nice location close to the beach. Hotel was quite pricey and not really worth it, rooms were good. Window from the bathroom to the bedroom was a surprise- consider that when booking with friends. Breakfast buffet had a good choice of bland food. Pool was very nice with warm water. Staff was helpful and friendly

Thank you very much for your feedback, our bathroom has a glass penal on one side to make it brighter and has the curtain or a blind when we need our privacy.

Great having pool access from room Lazy river is good asset Great location. Friendly staff Spraying for insects / pests needs to be more often than just meet the reguirements Hotel needs to start a bit TLC ini the rooms Fluffy towels the first night then they were missing in action for the rest of the stay

Was a good facility however the bed was very hard. The pool bars were very understaffed and not managed well. Still had a good time and enjoyed the pool access room.

The hotel was a little tired and appeared to be understaffed. It would have been a lovely hotel in its day but needs a refurbish. Breakfast was quite ordinary. Tea and coffee were never hot enough. However, the pool area was lovely. It was convenient to beach.

Liked roof top pool. Room was good size although lighting poor in room and furniture was rather old & creaky. Housekeeping regular & room cleaned daily. Travel desk lady was very helpful & booked 2 trips which were enjoyable and value for money.

It's very conveniently located if you ask me. Free Shuttle service to the beach must be really for the elderly, as it is only a short and pleasent walk away. They took deposit in cash for some reason, fortunately I wasn't completely out and didn't have to walk out of the hotel to find an atm (there is one very closeby though, just head right after you leave the hotel) Our room very quiet, despite the busy location. The lady at the reception who checked us in, wasnt nice at all and her English was difficult as well. Not a hotel for whiney pickers expecting a Shangri-La experience. 4.2/5

Loved the pool access room also the bed and bedding were really clean and so comfortable we loved our room never short on towels and bed made up and roomed cleaned daily. Food at breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. The hotel is just 5min walk to the beach and is only 2 mins from restaurants and bars we would definitely stay again

Beautiful hardworking staff. Beautiful pools. Lush tropical vegetation makes this place such a beautiful haven, plenty of pool shade, which is why we choose this resort. Nice and quiet, wasn't screaming with kids everywhere which we liked. Beautiful large room with a great view of the pool. Loved the Thai style decor. Place looks a little tired, but I can tell Covid has set the resort back a little, like a lot of the area. Not too far to walk to the beach too. We liked it all.

The check-in was absolutely terrible! I arrived at 2pm, proclaimed time of check-in. Two hours later I finally get my room with broken A/C and am awaiting the maintenance man. 30 ish minutes later I requested a different room. Meanwhile, not used to the heat and sweating profusely, they even charged me for the water.

Love the traditional Thai feel of the resort, they haven’t tried to make it a western resort at all. The staff are the friendliest staff I’ve ever met at any facility and always so helpful.

One of the largest and best hotel pools i've been in which was absolutely stunning with the landscaping. The deluxe room was huge. Staff were helpful. My biggest issue was the pool shutting slightly top early and it was sliiiiiightly further from the beach than looked on the map as you have to walk along the road to the beach (my fault for not checking!)

Sorry to hear this, we will look after more on our kids' room. Regarding to the electricity, the hotel has our Generator for Full Support but it takes about 15-20 seconds to recover after the power failed off.

It's close to all the restaurants and a short walk to the beach. One of the pools was quite warm in the afternoon, so not really refreshing, on the other side it had a nice bar in it

Great Location
Hotel is in a great location in Kata. It is close to the beach and surrounded by places to eat and get a massage. There are very few sun loungers around the pool for the number of rooms so beware to be up VERY early if you want to get one. Also slightly disappointed with the room. The hotel has clearly spent a lot of money on decor but simple things didn't work like the shower and bathroom sink drainage was poor so the shower flooded the bathroom. TV signal was fuzzy and muffled and the room cleanliness was not great when arrived. All in all not a bad place to spend a couple days in Phuket.

Exhausting stay
Location was good. Pool area was good. Rooms were dated, a little dusty but clean and as pictured so overall good value for money. Breakfast was good. The service let this hotel down massively - we shouldn't have had to argue for hours with reception to get them to acknowledge their aircon systems had failed in our block, after lots of snippy comments from their staff about "it is impossible" they finally accompanied us to our room and yes, it really was broken, as was the aircon in the rooms next door. The air con system totally broke for the block of rooms we were on. We got moved to another room eventually. It was 4 unhappy hours I'll never get back and a waste of my time and holiday. Then the mozzy spraying turning the hotel into a stinky post apocalyptic scene (with no warning) and the fire alarm at 2am (faulty system apparently) followed by explosions (faulty electric transformers) and 4am gunfire (which may have been illegal fireworks). We we're really glad to move hotels... For us, this hotel was one disaster after another.

The hotel was lovely the breakfasts were great plenty of choices the only thing we didn't like was the lift as the door closes too quick and it caught my arm the Thing was it would have been nice if they had a proper indoor bar overall it was a brilliant holiday in a great location would definitely recommend.

Not bad but not great
Tired hotel that does it's best to take as much of your money as possible. Interesting/nice pool area design, especially if you have the pool access room. We stayed in much friendlier hotels on our travels.

The swimming pools are beautifully landscaped and kept sparkling clean. Special thanks to Ms Pauline who was so friendly and helpful upon check in. She also helped with a special birthday surprise for my husband. We were happy with the variety of food at breakfast.

Check in process was smooth and quick. The staff were friendly and helpful. The decor of the resort, pool area, lobby, suites had more of a traditional tone and was absolutely beautiful. The layout of the pool area was very unique. I also loved how the pool was surrounded by frangipani trees, which naturally decorated the water with its beautiful flowers. Something I was unhappy about were the mosquitoes. Despite their efforts in trying to eliminate them, the whole resort was infested with them. Being an individual who naturally attracts mosquitoes, I ended up with over 15 bites over 3 nights. Another downside of this resort would be its lack of natural lighting. Perhaps due to the fact that it is surrounded by trees, the room are extremely dark - even on a sunny afternoon. it would be amazing if there could be more lighting in these dimly lit rooms.
