"Overall our stay was good. Service was really lacking though. There is a lot of reliance on digital solutions for the customer experience but it really isn’t great and trying to get hold of a human is hard. Common sense seems to have departed this world now. Our room was really nice but the balcony was so tired and needed a deep clean. Really old cobwebs everywhere just making it look tired and unloved. Spa was nice but again trying to work out how to just go for a swim took us physically going...

The cleanliness in the room was very good, but in the shower I noticed black mold in a few places on the grout. I personally am not allergic to the mold but many people are. "Charming hotel. Every member of staff was delightful. My travelling companion’s room was very pleasant and spacious. My room was extremely small and felt cramped. The bath was extremely slippery, however a slip mat was provided but I think a warning might be a good idea. The food was fabulous. We stayed chatting in the dining room for ages but never once felt hurried. Perfectly placed for visit to Highgrove. Overall a very pleasant stay."

Lovely relaxing stay
"It is a lovely hotel, very peaceful and quiet area. It could use a bit of redecoration in certain sites but it is clean enough and still very comfortable with all the amenities. Breakfast is superb (I would say above average for the chain hotels) and this is one of the very few hotels where you can actually open the windows! (and there is a garden outside so it is actually pleasant to do). Swimming pool is again maybe a bit old but perfectly good and comfortable to use. It is a great place for a relaxing stay to detach from the daily stress; not so much if you really need a good wifi as this can be really sluggish, although maybe there is a way around it (I think they have some premium wifi service there but there will be likely an extra fee). "
