We had a wonderful stay here! The boutique hotel had spacious rooms and was situated on lovely grounds. A quick walk took us to the Paestum Archeological Site, and when we returned we enjoyed some gelato, sorbets and wine served in their garden. Dining at the restaurant attached to the hotel (Casa Coloni) was fantastic. We got their fish menu, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had to date on our excursions across Italy. We had a lovely night’s sleep followed by a great breakfast the next morning. If you’re reading this looking for inspiration to click the “book” button, do it. Book here. Lovely room, delicious meal, great amenities, not even a 10 minute walk from a UNESCO World Heritage site. What else could you ask for?

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious . However the hotel did not provide the level of service expected by a 4 star and specially at this price point which explains my rating . You have to carry your suitcase yourself up the stairs if you’re on the second floor , you have to pay to rent pool towels and when it’s poring rain you can buy an umbrella but there is no complementary umbrella you can borrow like in all good hotels . It’s well located in Paestum and I would definitely recommend it if they raise the service level to match their rating, the beautiful setting and the price.

Sadly we we were only able to stay one night but it was memorable. The front desk staff, the aperitivo cocktails in the garden and the excellent breakfast. The room was superbe and well appointed. The 10 minute walk to Paestum archeological site was a definite plus. Would go back in a a heartbeat.

We would like to come back someday.
Nice villa on secluded grounds, with free parking within walking distance to the archaeological site. The room I booked was small, with a very short bed, despite being described as a “Deluxe Double Room”. This is the trend, which I noticed in other hotels as well, that will make the naming of different room types totally incompressible. Apart from this small rant, I only have appreciative words about our stay at this hotel. Excellent interior design, breakfast, and dinner. The service was excellent and I especially commend the young man who described the local produces served at breakfast and was also part of the team who served our very tasty dinner. We would like to come back someday.

Interesting hunting lodge
Interesting building that was a Duke's hunting lodge. The attic rooms have interesting architecture impacts 1) no view/no window, 2) stairs, 3) obstructions in the bath to duck around. I would wager the main floor rooms are really nice. Overall very pleasant. Avoid the pretentious restaurant that does not know how to cook risotto (crunchy!?), among several other issues.

Very kind desk staff and lovely hotel just steps away from city center and Trajan’s arch. The only kind suggestion I have is to watch with care if you need to park in the garage. It’s a tight turn to enter on the right. Another car in the garage obviously encountered the same issue. Overall, very good!

Charming Boutique Hotel Close to Paestum Ruins
Pros included friendly, bilingual staff, and the charming hotel is close to many adorable restaurants just off the Via Magna Graecia and even more restaurants and shops on V. Magna Graecia. Only about a 10 minutes walk to Paestum Park Entrance (and less time to the Museum entrance). The majority of breakfast was made in house and tasty. Hotel grounds and outdoor seating area are pretty and are quiet. Room was small, but clean. Cons included: No outlets near either sides of beds - only one at the desk and another in foyer with nothing nearby to set down things to charge. Air conditioning only went down to 21C, which isn’t ideal for those who like it cooler - especially on hot summer nights. Mattresses were semi-firm but pillows were also hard. Noticed one of the bed sheets was torn along the top hem. Mini-bar prices were also reasonable, but only 1 item per option was available, so there was only 1 water for us to share when we discovered this after retiring for the evening.

Really beautiful surroundings and garden with lovely seating areas. Very friendly staff, perfectly situated for visiting Paestum and row of good restaurants just beside hotel. More upmarket than the price would suggest. Good breakfast. Comfortable room.

This was an unplanned last minute booking that was beyond expectations given the affordable price. A short walk to Paestum Archaeological site with amenities along the way. The hotel was spotless, room well appointed and breakfast abundant. Staff were very helpful. The grounds were inviting and I wish we could have stayed more than one night. The beach is even not far away. I highly recommend the restaurant for dinner. The food creative and wine pairing perfect. Overall we plan to come back for a longer stay to this wonderful restaurant.

A lovely visit to Paestum
A beautiful boutique hotel. We greatly enjoyed our stay here. Lovely room, foyer, breakfast area and garden. Attentive and caring staff. Our dining experience in the restaurant ant was exceptional. Easy access to the archeological site, museum and cafes and restaurants in the town. We would highly recommend this hotel, and visiting Paestum. Walkable to the train station for catching the Naples train.

Beautiful quiet property within the rooms and gardens. Short walk to the ruins. The staff is friendly and impeccably helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant and ordered chef's choice and it was a top meal to remember. The included bearkfast had many choices for every pallet.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a great location and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We arrived and we were offered the bicycles to ride to beach. We rode past the ruins and found the public beach. The restaurant there was wonderful and the meal was delicious. The only downside is the lingering smell of manure because of the nearby buffalo farms, but it’s worth it because of the mozzarella

ceiling is too low to take a shower!!
There are 2 types of rooms, 2nd floor and 1st floor, 15 euro difference between them. in the pictures both of them looked good so we picked the cheaper ones. That was a mistake: 1. If u are more than 1.60m, u can't take a shower while standing(!!) because the ceiling is too low. not kidding - it's true. 2. there's only 1 very(!) small window and the rooms smell bad. Although the place was empty, they asked for 15 euros in order to change rooms. Other than that - food and service were good.

Great Boutique Hotel
If you are in the area, I highly recommend Tenuta Duca Marigliano. The boutique hotel is historical and beautifully restored/renovated. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Pretty landscaping and grounds. The service was outstanding at both the hotel and the restaurant. We enjoyed a tasting menu for dinner at the restaurant. The hotel staff also kindly arranged transportation and a reservation to visit the nearby "mozzarella di bufala" farm. Staying overnight will allow you to see the archeological site in morning or evening without any crowds....we almost had the temples to ourselves!

Our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel was one of the best on our 3-week southern Italy/Sicily trip - so glad we decided to make the stop. The hotel had an antique feel, yet totally sleek and modern and luxurious. The location was perfect as we were within walking distance to the ruins @ Paestum - a big plus. We had dinner in their restaurant, where the service and food was top-notch. Breakfast was delicious- great coffee!

Lovely Masseria next to Paestum archeological site. Beautifully designed grounds and main house. Rooms while spotless, were a little sterile. (They could be warmed up with work by a local photographer for instance - suggestion) they had a faint smell of stale cigarettes despite the "no smoking" signs but despite this we would return as the staff and atmosphere is lovely. Recommend.

Beautiful retreat
We almost missed the driveway because it is shared with another hotel, but it is certainly worth hunting a little. This is an 1800 hunting lodge that is now a very comfortable and beautiful hotel. The staff are attentive, polite and friendly, and nearly all speak at least some English. Special thanks to Nadia, who suggested a beautiful day trip to nearby villages on the sea. The restaurant is excellent, and Nadia also made good recommendations for places to eat in the village. Walking to the Greek temples takes only a few minutes. And the gardens at the hotel are a beautiful place to relax. If you are going to Paestum, we highly recommend you choose this hotel.

Brilliant restoration of classic structure
Modern design ethic and classic structure coexist wonderfully in this restoration. The physical appeal is supplemented perfectly by a highly professional, attentive staff. A most memorable stay.
