I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Royal Bora Bora. The room was vert spacious, the breakfast had great options and the fruits were fresh and very tasty. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay here again.

The resort's prime location on the beach allows for easy access and eliminates the need for a water taxi. The cleanliness and quality of food also made for a great experience.

Overall great property, basic rooms but very clean. Beautiful grounds, waterfront restaurant and fantastic beach. Small and quiet. A suggestion for improvement would be a more interesting dinner options at the restaurant.

The staff told me my reservation was only for one, then said I would have to pay for my husbands 3 breakfasts separately. They billed me about $75, which was steep, but I let it go. Then I got a change of $293 on my Visa. Not good business.

Get to know the real Bora Bora! Friendliest staff, best service as far as restaurant! This place has the beach with coral reef! Their food and service beats the 5-star restaurant there! Shuttle service is great and on time.

It was amazing. Although we had to walk across the street to the beach but the beach is beautiful. We had breakfast in front of the beach. Walking on the deck to the water taxi station was great. Rental for a paddled board is right on the beach side at a reasonable fees. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Royal Bora Bora.

Loved this hotel. Nice, comfortable, quiet and beautiful room with a gorgeous beach across the street from the hotel buildings. Had a very nice stay and they arranged a tour and I borrowed one of their bikes to do an island tour for good prices.

A very nice accommodation at a reasonable price compared to other hotels in Bora Bora. No overwater bungalows, just nice quiet rooms, pleasant garden settings, good dining, pleasant beach, and a staff that helps with everything you want to do like lagoon cruises, Island tours, bike rentals. Tahitian owned, which may account for some of that.

Rooms are across the street (among bushes and trees) from main facilities. You are on your own to take your luggage there. Rooms are large and well furnished. The immediate area has nothing - you need to walk 10-15mn to get to some basic restaurants and shops although there's a good grocery store within 2 mn. Matira beach is walkable to and excellent. The hotel beach is smallish, beautiful with clear water but water can get a little rough on windy days. Breakfast is excellent with lots of options.

It's a quiet and somewhat depressed area - the ruins of the old Sofitel are near by. There's a decent grocery store 2 mn walk where you can buy breakfast and other things. Nothing to see or do near by outside of hotel. Rooms are all across the street from hotel facilities. Mosquitoes can be a problem you are in a small parc-like setting with lots of bushes and trees. Rooms are perfectly good but dark -they use dark rood paneling. Check-in istaff work by rote so not ultra helpful.

Quality for the price, staff was very helpful, grounds were beautiful, private beach was beautiful plenty of loungers needed more umbrellas. No ice machines had to get it from the bar which did not open until 11am if you did an outing in the morning out of luck small store down the street had no ice. Water fill station was nice. Loved all of the shelves in the one closet other to hang clothes. Food was good pricy if there was a show that night and you didn't go there was no food to eat. other restaurants were a very long walk. The cheeseburgers were over the top good and sweet potato fries yum. Buffet breakfast included very good. Rooms need an updated but very clean and nice, cleaning staff awesome Overall loved the hotel highly recommend it. We will be going back one day. this island is beautiful and magical!!

Entrance to our room was down the alley…didn’t feel safe at night going to our room…also asked for a 1st floor room as husband has a hard time with steps and they couldn’t accommodate for him.

We stay 2 weeks ! Was ok to just stay in hotel and explore Bora Bora. Hotel is it good condition but foot is So so . Great dinner for show, but the show was OK.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The Staff were amazing, the reception team were super sweet and funny. The room was decent and clean, we had asked for a second floor one, and we loved it. The only thing I would do next time i would ask for a room far away from the road. The traffic starts in the morning and woke us up every day (not a big deal but keep in mind). Must have a key in by the door to have the lights on and the AC, so ask for a second key upon arriving, if you want to keep the ac running while out and about. The breakfast a decent, lots of carbs but we enjoyed having it included in our stay. Pool is very small, but great to have we swam in it almost everyday of our stay. The beach is nice and the snorkeling is decent. Your best bet is to rent the kayak from the reception and kayak over to the Motu (island) and see an aquarium of fish. ITS AMAZING. For your water, snacks, alcohol for the room, there is a convenient store walking decent that was pretty good. It had everything. If you don't like cats, beware, there are cats everywhere, on the pool chairs, in the restaurant while you are eating. The cats are like part of the hotel. We would stay here again.

Overall we had a great experience at this hotel the staff is excellent the grounds are beautiful close to shopping. The breakfast is not that great and there is no microwave in the room other than the its a great hotel i would recommend

I booked 2 nights, hotel offered me transfer from ferry to hotel 35usd for 2 persons. We researched through others experiences and we didn’t accept with no answer. By my flight delayed more 8 hours, we came to ferry almost 8pm. While we tried to find a way to get hotel, suddenly a shuttle with maybe 10 people seating, all were shouting “free”. Still confusing, we asked a driver how the price (while he raised a cardboard with name of Royal Bora Bora) many times. Finally he nodded his head together”free”. We went ahead to get in a car. After dropping 10 people off at Maitai hotel, continue to my hotel only us. When checked in, the receptionist didn’t ask any questions about the shuttle. Hotel sold a shopping bus with 1,00xfp/round trip/person. We asked them how far from hotel to shopping if comparing to ferry? We felt they wasn’t happy on their face after answered: they’re same distance. Shopping was where we didn’t see only a ferry that we came at night August 5? Besides that, while we check out, they charged me 3,500xfp without any explaining? Then, they help us to call a taxi to Black Pearl bungalow but when my husband forgot phone on taxi, we messaged to hotel help, “ I don’t know driver’s phone numbers😩, no ideas! Breakfast for 2 days was the same everything. Cleaning was so far so good. Employees were dedicated 👍. With us, hotel wasn’t enough kindly to guests.

This hotel should be 2.5 stars not 3.5. The rooms were clean but very dark. Rooms were across the road from lobby/pool etc. The pool is small. You get what you paid for.

Royal Bora has nice Polynesian style and comfort without the pretentious atmosphere of other hotels on the island. The staff was friendly and helpful. An overhead fan in the room would have been nice.

Excellent property: Service was impeccable. Price was a super value. In a nut shell: Walk to great restaurant called the Lucky. Short bike ride to the best beach. Beach at hotel is great. Water provided for guests. A market almost next door! Transfers to airport was effortless. Breakfast included. Room has great air conditioning and a solid safe. Wife and I had an absolute blast and I dare you to find a better value. One thing that didn't go well was the tour we booked thru Viator. It was terrible service, even rude. Book the tour via the hotel and the people on those tours are wonderful. We booked snorkel, jet ski and parasail. The views from the parasail (which picked you up from the hotel dock!) will be a lifelong memory. I am not easy to please; this place exceeded all of my expectations. Lovely people and I'm delighted to say Thank you to them!
