It was an older motel but remodeled. Clean and roomy. Because it is called locomotive there is a train that runs by,. But it was not bad. Breakfast was not the greatest For me I needed a bed to sleep the night and get up early to start driving to next destination. It fit!

Everything was close to the hotel. Awesome staff. Shopping super close. Ill be back. And the cozy gym behind the hotel is better than any Tacoma/Seattle gym hands down.

Older place but rooms were updated some. Staff was very nice. Could hear guests walking upstairs and in the halls pretty easily. Train was loud and went several times in the night. No pool as advertised.

The bed was comfortable but the AC did not work properly, the chairs were very old with broken down cushions, and there was a sign to have 30 minutes between showers because the hot water tank was smaller. The breakfast was adequate but the coffee was poor. This is an older property that has had some upgrades, but needs more updates to charge the rate being asked.

Nice property and most of the staff were very friendly. They baked cookies for everyone to take one. After getting back from dinner and a movie one evening, my coworker and I arrived and I went to grab a cookie. The lady at the front desk insisted that I tell her my room number before I was able to have a cookie. I felt treated like an outsider instead of a guest. I chose not to give her my room number and asked her not to come to my room. She seem like a matronly, grumpy, frumpy, unhappy soul. I paid for three rooms, five nights each for myself and two coworkers. I will stay again, but avoid the Cookie Monster. Everyone else was wonderful.

It seems that this hotel is in the middle of an update (there were older furniture pieces in the hall at one point, but our room did not have such pieces and was nice and new). Even though they downplay their breakfast, it was quite good with already-cooked egg and cheese omelets (just warm them up in the micro-wave) and a waffle (made in one of those waffle machines) if you wanted one. The breakfast was better than some places I've been that advertise a hot cooked breakfast. The bed was one of the most comfortable that we have encountered in hotels, and the pillows were large, soft and fluffy. It is a nice place with a train theme throughout.
