"This property is outstanding. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy access to all that Carmel and Monterey offer. The vintage look and feel of the property with all the beautiful foliage was exceptional. The pool and hot tub were a hit with the grandkids. "The Monterey Hotel is a nice property. The parking is close by and it’s walkable around the downtown/nightlife area. They have a private hot tub that you can reserve for an hour at a time, but we did not experience it due to the event we were going to in Monterey. Maybe because it is historic hotel it did not have normal amenities like a microwave or refrigerator. Overall, it was nice and the staff was very helpful and kind. "

"Great location. Pretty clean but patches on wall not painted. Say two bottles of water in room not there when asked for them it was a big deal n ehen we asked for two more bottles we had to pay for them. Says there is a gym but the gym is across the street. I was a little cold not extra blankets in room just a very light blanket on the bed but other than that it was a nice place to stay. I would go back"

"We stayed in the full ocean view room, it was right over the water, the balcony was perfect for the in room continental breakfast that was delivered to our room. The staff were amazing, everyone was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable! Both Cannery Row and the warf are about a 10 min walk, excellent location. The bed was very comfortable with nice quality linens. "

"What a charming little hotel! Our room was spacious. The beds were comfortable. We had a private balcony where we could leave the door open for fresh air. Property has an area with fire pit and hot tub. There is a Tavern attached to the hotel with great food, beer and service which we especially appreciated after a long day of travel. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area."
