The 'do not disturb' thing is electronic, but when you leave the room the power goes off and so does the sign. So even if you don't want the room made up, it happens. And all your things end up on the floor and your bar of soap disappears and...

"It served its purpose and the heart of Vientiane. Don’t drink the water. Don’t add ice to your drink! Of the three days I was there, I was sick 1 1/2. I kept asking them for toilet paper and they bring me one roll at a time. With vomiting and explosive diarrhea it was just annoying to have to call them every few hours for toilet paper. I told them I was sick. They had a restaurant at the bar, but not one really for lunch. But they also didn’t offer room service. I had to convince them to...

"The price was right for a solo male traveler, and the air conditioning was good, A lot of cleanliness work could be taken care of around the property but the staff spent most of the time on their phones rather than making the place look nice "

"The staff was very polite and knowledgeable and actually spoke some English. I went to the restaurant at 9:00 at night to get something to eat after a long day and I was amazed at how good the food was. The room was spotless."
