Upon arrival we were promptly greeted by a friendly receptionist. She had our reservation and check in went smoothly. The rooms are simple but clean! At night, it was quiet and we slept well. The free breakfast boasts 2 hot items (rotates the menu each day) and plenty of other options, including an automatic pancake maker. The breakfast area is cozy and has ample seating. We were only there for one night, but would come back again!

Everything about this place is just quietly impressive: The cleanliness, the level of service, the condition of all the fixtures and fittings, the water pressure - everything. The lounge is bright and clean and comfortable. Hotel is right on Hwy 169 but 169 never gets very loud or busy, so it's convenient without being "urban." There's a Caribou Coffee next door just in case you want something not on offer in the hotel lobby (like a mid afternoon snack). Try this place. You' love it.

Clean small property. Nice pool and spa. Friendly and honest staff. Staff noticed $100 bill when my visitor left the lobby. Front desk called immediately. I was able to return the money to my son! Thank you!

Worth the trip
AmericInn is a great place to stay in St Peter. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Pool looks really nice though we weren't able to take advantage of it. Breakfast was good with cereal, pancakes, biscuits & gravy, english muffins and more. Would definitely stay there again.

Comfortable and friendly hotel
This was a local getaway trip which I enjoyed very much. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hot tub was spacious and in good order. The bed was comfortable as was the room temperature. Shades kept out the morning light so well I slept in. I loved that the television had so many different cable channel options, especially since it was Christmas Eve and the plan was to stay inside. Breakfast options have at least one form of eggs, which I liked. The breakfast eating area blends into the front lobby and is not huge but had lots of seating at different heights and I was okay with it. Overall a relaxing stay.

We have stayed here several years now for the Gustavus Adolphus Concert. It is a nice place and staff are very friendly. We were disappointed this year at the high cost for this weekend. Hopefully some of that money will used to replace dated furnishings and worthy of the $200 per night fee.

Thanks for the feedback, Carol. We're in the process of updating the rooms and lobby area. Hoping to be done by the end of 2024. The days of hotels having the same prices everyday are over, unfortunately. Hotels are run much like the airline industry now with prices changing daily with supply and demand and special event increases. I hope this gives you a little insight into the increase in prices you experienced.

The property and room were in good condition. When I checked in, the room temp was set at 60 degrees and it was freezing. The room also had a strong chemical smell in it. I noticed the smell less after a while, but it was cold all night. I couldn't bring myself to turn on the heat when the outside temp was mid 80's.

Sorry to hear you had issues with the air conditioner. The thermostat can be raised or lowered by the guest in each room. Please remember there is someone at the front desk 24-7 that could assist you with any questions or concerns while you are staying with us. We hope you come back and give us another try.
