Hilton Long Beach is very clean and very safe. 4PM check in is a joke. Rougher hotels have a 3PM check in which still not the best but better, and rooms ready right on time. We were able to get our room key at 315PM only because we got to the front desk at 130PM. I believe they were working on providing streaming services on the room TVs, but during our stay it was not available. This is a standard feature at pretty every hotel even the worse ones. Lastly, the designated parking area in the parking structure was full by the early evening. This should not have happened. I really don’t have high standards when it comes to hotels, especially since I only stayed one night, but I hope what I mentioned in this review is fixed when I stay here again.

Good things they give you a goodie bag with water and chips which is nice our check in was pretty smooth. However we tried to ask for a recommendation for dinner front desk was too busy and approached the gentleman in guest services really bad attitude and decided to better as the valet. Also when coming back after diner no parking spaces available upon our return travelling with three kids at around 11 pm decided to leave it with Valet he said that I would have to be charged 5 usd extra from the $35 I had already paid. It bothered me not that I would be charged the extra $5 dollars but that I went thru an inconvenience not at my fault that not enough spaces for self parking on top of that they charge me extra !!!! Finally did not sleep much as heard noises thru out the night of people shouting in the hallways. In general I would say the hotel is ok a little old service is definitely not the best it is conviently located and they do offer shuttle service for nearby attractions which was a plus.

I called early for check-in since we arrived earlier than expected the individual at registration said your room is ready if you would like to come early. We should up to check-in at 2pm and another individual told us we had to wait until 4pm even if the room was ready. We (with children) waited in the lobby and garage for almost 2 hours. We liked the rubber ducks for the cruise. Overall it was an average noisy stay.

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and quiet. No ocean view even on a high floor, but I was mostly there to crash at night and I slept very well on their beds. They did not have enough parking so I had to valet which was an additional charge. My first morning there their security had to chase a homeless person out of the lobby just as I was leaving the lobby. I was only working 5 minutes from the hotel but chose to drive rather than be out there with a now very angry person. As I rounded the corner to leave I noticed them smoking meth out in the open on the corner. Two hours later I received a Citizen notice that a homeless person had assaulted someone with a hammer at the same intersection as the hotel. So no, the neighborhood doesn’t seem very safe. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but I’m glad my kid wasn’t with me and that I had a car.

The property was very clean lots of complimentary drinks choices even popcorn. They charge hotel guest $35.00 for parking Hotels in the Northern California area they do not charge for hotel guess parking , this is a rip off.

I've stayed at a lot of Hilton's and this is the worst. When we got here we had several large suitcases. There were three Hilton valet's or whatever they were out front. They just stood there and watched while my wife and I unloaded the baggage. Similarly there was no offer to help get them in the hotel. Someone just pointed and said there's the front desk. The woman that checked us in was also less then pleasant and said she couldn't accommodate a special request we had that is very common. The hotel looks pretty old and not exactly well-maintained. In the room, there was not a single outlet in the desk or nightstands to plug in laptops and phone chargers. That's pretty old! When we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant we went to the hostess stand to be seated. The hostess just starred at us for a long time never saying a word. We finally asked if we could be seated and she didn't say anything just motioned to follow her. In general the entire staff was not very customer service oriented or even pleasant. The room seemed very old and needed updates. Not in the center of town either, kind of off to an industrial area.

Spent two hours at the hotel parking (paid parking) because hotel claimed they didn’t receive my confirmed booking from Expedia, asking me to wait for another half an hour for the booking to show up on my end. Expedia agent took an hour to communicate to the front desk to ask them manually check me in but eventually got refused saying hotel is fully booked for the night even though there are availability based on Hilton app. I am super disappointment and exhausted after all this especially I have a 8:15 ferry to catch. Hilton Long Beach just became a reason for me to go for other brand.

On the whole Hotel is not recommended , its have been renovated but still very old, window is so dirty, dining has no choice except the pub food , location near highway has to use Uber all the time the shutter is not enough for guest, you have to waitt car

This was a great property to stay at for what I had to do in town. The staff were great and the facilities, top tier. My only issue was upon check in. At the stated check in time my room was not ready, and I was told it could take an hour to have my room ready. I found this unacceptable for a hotel of this stature. Thankfully the manager corrected this issue, yet had I not have said anything, I wouldn’t have received the service that I had paid for.

The hotel was amazing I loved it ! Only issue I had was at check in. I was charged twice for my deposit leaving me broke and was told they didn’t have record of an extra charge and can’t do anything until the next day but I had the evidence on my bank statement which I provided as well in that moment I saw an extra charge. Overall very nice hotel

Our a/c never worked or was serviced so we ended up sleeping with the slinding door half way opened and our towels were never restocked, no videogame console also ad advertised by xpedia
