Stayed for NewYears! Hotel was clean, Staff was friendly! Great Prices! They were overall amazing! I would rather give my money to a locally owned hotel then a chain hotel! We will definitely be staying here again!
This is a cozy property pole position to the national monuments & Deadwood. The owner + staff are very hospitable & make sure you have everything you need. They made our stay in Deadwood hassle free & I am so grateful for their information about the area.
Not friendly, had to ask for more towels and manager told me to go find the cleaning lady,
never found her so didn't get fresh towels the entire stay. They never made up the bed, in fact never came to the room at all. The air conditioner sounded like a small jet when it started up and didn't get any quieter so didn't use it. It was very quiet location, that part of the stay was nice. Wouldn't stay again or recommend.
Due to COVID they should advertise that they now have nothing- no breakfast, ice, pool, etc. Several places in Deadwood closer that are significantly cheaper and nicer. Was disappointed
There is nothing unique about this property. It's nothing more than a dingy run down motel. There is no maid services until you leave. He can't afford to pay the wages. The ice machines were unplugged. He doesn't like people filling their coolers. He doesn't provide breakfast as advertised as he doesn't like messing with it. The laundry service is two miles into leads and the pool and hot tub are only open during business hours, so plan on being back to your room early if you want to use these. We never did. That pretty water fall in the advertisement is a picture of a waterfall in the room. Oh and I hope your into closeness as the rooms are tiny and cramped. Don't walk away from this one. RUN! Expedia shouldn't list one as it's an embarasment to their name. Spend your money elseware.

The staff was very friendly. They had a trolley to downtown Deadwood for $1. The rooms were outdated.
Hotel was crappy! Bed was horrible! Tv from the 90’s would never recommend!

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service. Needed to switch nights that we were staying due to travel changes.
I called repeatedly for 2 days and left messages that were never returned. No answer back at all. Waste of money, pretty disappointed.
Stayed at The Hotel by Gold dust instead, great service there AND people answered the phone when i called.
Amazing place to stay! Peaceful, quiet, safe and just minutes from town. Also only an hour to even more beautiful and amazing! The woman working at the desk was incredibly kind and accommodating! We will definitely be bringing our bikes back here!!
They list themselves as pet friendly which usually means, in a destination location, that you can leave your pet in the room while you go eat etc. However that was not true and after driving 300 miles we could not stay there and could not find other accommodations in our budget and drove another 300 miles back home. They also would not clean your rooms until after you checked out and would not provide a breakfast that was also advertised as included. I tried to call the motel when I made the reservations to insure that there would be no issues but they never called me back. I would definitely not recommend this motel. I feel they were very dishonest.
Not too far from the main part of town. Local shuttle bus service. Older but clean property

Clean place with nice view of hills.
Small room and bathroom. Clean enough. Heat and air works fine. Couldn't hook up to wifi right away for some reason. Staff is friendly. No fridge or coffee maker, but coffee was made for us in the lobby/breakfast nook every morning and continental breakfast and cereal available. Housekeeping was efficient.Cheapest room available when I was looking, so it was adequate. The trolly stops there so it's all good.
We enjoyed watching the deer under the tree outside our window. The bed was comfortable. The molding around the front of the shower on the floor was cracked and moldy, as was an area on the wall where the molding came off in the doorway by the tv. Only high carbs for breakfast. The water tasted terrible.Very dated - needs a good upgrade.
The staff was extremely nice and during Sturgis the price was unbeatable. However if you are looking for more than a bed and a clean room you won't get it. Staying in c building we had a small box tv, no fridge or microwave. For us it was perfect and we will be back next year.
Luckily didnt spend much time in the room. Pool opens at 10am. Too late. Room has no coffee maker, no hair dryer, no iron. Beat up to death. With a hole in a wall. Mattresses are very uncomfortable. Breakfast has: milk, orange juice, bagels, cereal (3), bread, peanut butter, jello, cheese cream. Enjoy
I knew I was getting a cheap hotel, but this was ridiculous.
After a week of camping, I told the clerk we needed extra shampoo and soap so we could shower that day and the next morning. He refused, insisting there was enough. "Enough" in his mind means two tiny pouches of shampoo and a bar of soap the size of a Hershey's mini.
The pool room is only open from 10am until whenever they feel like closing the office. (9pm on a Friday night? Really?).
The continental breakfast is a loaf of bread, a stack of bagels, a dish of cream cheese, and jars of peanut butter & jelly. The coffee tasted horrible and was so weak one packet of creamer turned it white.
The room was small and dingy. Found a huge spider and web hanging from the bedside lamp.
The only thing that was as I expected was the mattress. Spring filled, squeeky, and hard. Even after spending a week on the forest floor it felt awful.
Plus, it's literally the farthest hotel from Deadwood. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. You'll spend more money but you'll save time, be happier, and actually get what you pay for.

During a busy deadwood weekend this was the only hotel for a reasonable price in the area. It wasn’t high end by any means but was clean with friendly staff. I’d stay here again
There was no internet in the block B where we stayed understand it was a weekend but a plan could be made.
Breakfast is up to @@@ really that is not a breakfast I would suggest rather do not but it in with your price as a breakfst rather do not mention it at all
other wise we enjoyed our stay and the staff was friendly
