This is a beautiful boutique hotel with great river views, and centrally located. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The staff were great, very helpful and knowledgeable.

It is located close to city centre and very convenient to reach tourist destinations by walk. The hotel bedroom and bathroom wasnt clean as expected so we asked for changing our room but it seems the maintenance and cleaning are below 4star standards in general. One strage thing is the room cleaning is not done automatically unless you request but daily room cleaning is included in the price anyway!

Nice place but we were on floor one overlooking where the trash was dumped so it was noisy. Clearly no view. Did not like the translucent bathroom door. Needed towel racks. Ok but not great. Breakfast buffet wad good but pricey.

The Eden is located right on the Amstel River and it was lovely to walk along the river. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. However, the bath had swinging glass doors that were just awkward and then there was a glass door from the bath to the bed which shone a bright light into a partner's eyes when one would get up to the use the restroom. I really disliked that bath and wouldn't stay there again because of it.

Good hotel at the great location, very convenient little store inside with food, also heat-able food at the bar, pool table. And of course very close to all sights in Amsterdam. We spent pleasant time there.

The view from our room was simply incredible. For me it made everything else seem trivial. We could view the canal and opera house from our beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The toiletries were very limited. The room seemed to look a bit older but relatively clean for what it was. The beds seemed to be a bit well loved but still comfortable. I am not sure if this is just a thing in Amsterdam but we had no top sheets on our bed, just a bottom sheet on the mattress and comforter. We were able to request additional sheets thankfully. The top windows seemed to be closed off or painted so you couldn't see out of the top of the window, so you had to sit on the floor, bed or bend over to observe the beautiful view below. Not a huge deal, just different and unexpected. They did not have washcloths available, just an fyi, as some people expect those. I loved the convenient grab and go convenience store in the lobby. The lobby had nice character with live plants all about. There was a bar I believe available in the lobby as well but we did not utilize that. Staff was nice enough. Location was great, very walkable, close to the action, shops and restaurants, but far enough away that it was not noisy. I would definitely stay here again, despite the small idiosyncrasies.
