One of San Francisco’s most exclusive neighbourhoods features stunning mansions, spectacular views and a great selection of shops and restaurants.

Experience San Francisco at its most magnificent in Pacific Heights. Find this exclusive neighbourhood in the heart of the city, roughly bordered by Van Ness and Presidio Avenues and Pine and Vallejo streets. Walk along its elegant streets, lined with stunning mansions and beautiful views of San Francisco Bay.

Walk down Fillmore Street and explore its charming shops with clothing stores and one-of-a-kind boutiques. Check out the burgeoning dining scene, which offers restaurants ranging from small cafés to gourmet fine dining experiences.

Relax on one of the benches in Alta Plaza Park and take in additional beautiful views of the city. Play tennis or basketball or take the kids in your group to the colourful playground. Join the dog walkers and picnickers that flock to Lafayette Park.

The highlight of Pacific Heights is its stunning homes. Nearby, view Spreckels Mansion, the iconic colonnaded mansion belonging to famous novelist Danielle Steele. Travel back in time at the Victorian-style Haas-Lilienthal House, featuring original furniture and ornate decor.

One of the oldest buildings, located along Pacific Avenue, was built in 1853, but most of the homes were built after the devastating 1906 earthquake. See spectacular homes ranging in style from Victorian to Edwardian to Châteauesque and more. Spot the German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Vietnamese consulates.

Explore Billionaire’s Row, a segment of Broadway between Divisadero and Lyon streets. This exclusive corner of Pacific Heights has been home to some of the city’s wealthiest families, such as Larry Ellison and George Lucas.

Enjoy spectacular views from the top of the Lyon Street Steps. Look west toward the lush forest of the Presidio and east toward the glamorous mansions. See the city unfold below you with foggy San Francisco Bay beyond. From here, you may see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Treasure Island, the Bay Bridge and more.

Travel to the rest of the city from Pacific Heights. The Presidio, Marina and Nob Hill are all within walking distance. If you don’t feel like braving the hills on foot, hop on one of the many buses making frequent runs through the neighbourhood.

I have been waiting for this pool to open for nearly a year. Keep bringing a bath suit bc they say it’s either open or will be open by the 3/6. Didn’t happen. No snacks and restaurants close early in the area. Also restaurants are extremely expensive.

Clean rooms. Staff was friendly. The only down fall was the really small bathrooms and the 60.00 a night garage parking. Other than that it was a very convenient place to stay with kids since its located close to the wharf.
