Lock 26 on the Hennepin Canal

The Hennepin Canal is over 75 miles long and has 33 locks.  It is a great place for hiking, biking, fishing, and simply enjoying nature's beauty.
After a 13 inch snowfall, the town of Geneseo, IL was a winter wonderland.
This white-throated sparrow was spotted at Prairie Park in Geneseo, Illinois.  Along with the prairie, there is a woodland area with hiking trails.  The Hennepin Canal runs along the north side of the park.
