The staff was extremely friendly. The room was very clean and well stocked with soap, lotion, slippers, snacks and beverages. Location is perfect you can get to down town very quickly very quickly via tram and you are right next to china garden park. Would definitely stay again

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Aparthotel. The location is fantastic with the lake just a few minutes away. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores directly outside the hotel. The tram stops directly outside the building. The family takes pride in their establishment and it shows. The apartment was clean, well stocked and modern. The owners provided personal attention and were very responsive to all questions. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Zurich!

Good location, friendly staff, and a clean room. But I did not know that I had no private bathroom or toilet. The bed is quite small and too soft. The fan and the hair dryer are noisy while using them.

It was an alright room but next time I will stay at a hotel. Parking was approximately $50 for 2 days & to use the washer was about $11 a load. The only reason I choose this listing was I read the ad wrong about washer in room. Thought it would be a bigger room but it was the size of a regular hotel room. Owners were nice & very accommodating.

Freundlichkeit ist riesengross geschrieben!

Super spontan gebucht. Schon der erste Telefonkontakt war einladend. Ich wusste, dass ich mehr als willkommen bin. Als ich das Haus betrat, wurde ich mit Namen begrüsst, noch bevor man mich überhaupt sah. Weil ich nur gerade ein paar Stunden schlafen wollte, hatte ich mich für ein kleines und günstiges Zimmer entschieden. Daher konnte ich auch gut mit Etagen-WC und -Dusche leben. Ich hatte sie sogar für ich alleine. Im Zimmer fand ich alles, was ich brauchte und noch viel mehr. Ich werde gerne wieder kommen!

Great comfort and ease for visiting Zurich

We enjoyed our stay for several reasons. It's truly a family business in the quiet end of city centre, everything was perfectly thought over and designed to maximise the comfort. The location is great well for people who like to explore the city on foot - the lake is within few minutes walk, public transport is almost just round the corner, and opera house is just 4 stops away on tram. Love the ease and comfort this accommodation provided for our two-night trip to Zurich.

Es gibt überhaupt nichts auszusetzen. Lage ist super, 5min zu Fuß zum See und Tram/ Bus quasi vor der Haustür. Freundlichkeit und Kommunikation mit den Inhabern vor Ankunft bis sogar nach der Abreise kann nicht besser sein. Sauberkeit ist tadellos und während des Aufenthaltes eher mit einem 5 Sterne Hotel vergleichbar (Alles mitgebrachten Utensilien werden geordnet, Bett aufgeschlagen, usw.). Kaffee und weitere Heißgetränke gibt es jederzeit kostenfrei genauso wie einige kühle Getränke. Keine Ahnung was man mehr erwarten kann.

Great Hotel Choice in Zurich

I stayed at the APARTHOTEL Familie Hugenschmidt on a recent weekend trip to Zurich and found the hotel to be perfect for my needs. The room was very clean and everything I needed (and more) was supplied. The location is excellent and almost directly on the trolley routes making it an easy commute to anywhere I wanted to go in the city. This is a family owned/operated hotel, so everything is kept up very nicely and my interactions with owners were very positive.

The multigenerational family who runs this hotel were all very welcoming and friendly. The room I stayed in was as advertised- very small with shared bath - but it suited me perfectly and I never ran into anyone else using the bath or shower . The location was very nice- just steps from tram #5 - it goes straight to the main train station- and a short walk to the lovely promenade on the sunny side of Zurich Lake. Perfect!

Welcoming family business, prime location!

The family that runs this business is very welcoming, the rooms are very clean, the location is one step from the very centre but is quiet. When we go back to Zurich that's where we will stay.

Great location close to the lake in the middle of an area full of good restaurants and bars. Simple clean and very pleasant. Staff were extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. All in all a great stay, highly recommended!
