Parfait ne changez rien! propre, grande chambre, accueil+++ , bien situé pour aller au village retour par des escalators et ascenseurs : un vrai bonheur! le petit déjeuner est absolument somptueux; des oeufs frais, une vrai charcuterie, du pain croustillant des fruits..bref à ne pas manquer!

A lovely rural stay near beautiful Basque village

A lovely stay on the hosts farm in their new large house. The host is very helpful with advice on the area. The location is not far from the local town, set amongst the vineyards and farmland. The room is large, clean, comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed going for walks and runs along the small country roads. It's a decent but enjoyable walk into the historic small town beside the sea. This is an idyllic spot for a holiday amongst the friendly, down to earth and ancient Basque community.

A Room Without a View

Your website clearly stated " habitations.....with vineyard views". Our view was a tall wall, six feet from the only external window and door.* (I have submitted 2 photographs, one from ground level, and the second one standing on the chair in the first photo, but have had difficulty attaching them. Please use your discretion if you can include them from a reply to this email) Although the staff were as helpful and pleasant as they could be, the management did not seem interested as apparently we had not booked a "superior" room. Despite the fact that we offered to pay the difference in the cost. Sitting on our terrace was claustrophobic to say the least, and we stayed in the hotel as little as possible. Our main reason for selecting the hotel was the promised views, and we feel very let down. *We were also concerned that the wall seemed to block an obvious fire escape route. We tried to check this against the instructions on the back of the habitation door, but this was too inaccurate to make sense.

Nice stay in the Basque Region

A very beautiful place to stay, with an incredibly comfortable room. The staff were very helpful. The town of Getaria is absolutely charming! We had a fabulous holiday there. I would highly recommend.
