Lovely hotel conveniently located

Lovely hotel about 5mins to a shopping centre and just a bit further to the main shopping area which has the train station at the end of the street. The double room we had was very clean which was serviced every day and the bathroom had a hairdryer. There was also slippers and bathrobe. There is a kettle and bottled water in the room but there was only 2 tea bags (Herbal & Green Teas) and sugar. If you want other types of tea and Coffee and/or milk, I would advise you take your own. There is a fridge filled with all sorts which you have to pay for but it would be ok to keep your milk in. Breakfast has plenty of choice both hot and cold and there is a hot drinks machine to serve yourself. I would certainly stay there again if I were to visit Zilina.

I stayed for 2 days in Žilina, the city where my wife was born, and this hotel truly stood out. It is by far the most convenient and iconic hotel in all of Žilina. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to walk to the main square, restaurants, shops, and cultural sites. The building itself has a timeless charm and feels like part of Žilina’s identity. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-designed, offering everything I needed for a short stay. Staff were welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations and local insights. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh options to start the day. Overall, this hotel combines comfort, history, and convenience in a way that few places can. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Žilina.

We really liked our stay at Dubná Skala. The location is perfect with a walking distance to the Main Square with all the restaurants and to 3 big malls. We liked the whole atmosphere and how nicely renovated it was. I also had one of the best massages in the spa. Remember to ask for Babroka.

Great Stay

Good value for money. Easy Check in. Helpful staff. Room clean and in good condition. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Close to the centre, good parking facilities. Shower was a little awkward due to the ceiling slope and no screen so water went everywhere, but not the biggest of problems and didn't spoil the stay.

Plus: Trevlig personal i receptionen, väldigt serviceinriktade och vänliga. Rymliga rum med bra faciliteter och välutrustat badrum. Frukostbuffén hade allt man kan önska och lite till. Minus: Jag kanske hade otur med vilket rum jag fick men jag hörde allt mina grannar gjorde inklusive kissa, bajsa och duschade, vilket kan uppfattas som otrevligt om man är äckelmagad. Frukostpersonalen var otrevliga, svarar inte på tilltal, visade inget leende och tittade nästan anklagande på dig när du hämtade en andra kopp kaffe. Jag vill börja dagen på ett trevligt sätt. Det kunde jag tyvärr inte göra här. När jag lämnade frukosten önskade jag båda två en trevlig dag. Jag fick inte ens ett svar tillbaka - inte ens ett hejdå.

Die Musikauswahl allein hat schon 5 Sterne verdient. Das Hotel selbst ist Top-Modern, hat ruhige Zimmer und eine allgemein entspannte Athmosphäre. Das Frühstück hatte jeweils andere fancy Dinge zur Auwahl. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert.
