The road to the hotel is pedestrianised with cobble stones, but the hotel sent a member of staff with a flatbed trolley to collect our luggage from the taxi drop-off point to the hotel. "Such a lovely comfy hotel. Had the best stay here for a few days, the staff were so so lovely and helpful, writing things out in Chinese for us and being so helpful with any questions we had. The room is comfortable and clean and the courtyard is so beautiful. Just a 5 minute walk to the South Gate in the ancient city of Dali so the perfect location and all at such an amazing price! "Overall pleasant experience, especially the tour driver Mr. Wang. However, we were not pleased that the electricity went out on the second night, leaving us in total dark and cold with no air conditioning, etc. The staff were not well trained to apologize in this situation but just remained silent. "First, address is inaccurate. If you book, please call or find a way to get the correct address because the district is missing, and that is very important to have in all China, otherwise no one knows where it is, and that area has thousands of other Inn´s spread in small streets. It´s a 3 story house turned into a guesthouse? Rooms are pretty, but not very functional. Bathroom shower flooded the entire bathroom, toilet seat broke just by touching it, strange water and ticking noises all night....
