"Good cost performance, clean, comfortable, nice staff, and very good location. The only (minor) negative point was that there were only 2 washing machines in the hotel, so was a bit of a struggle to use one."

"Didn’t utilise everything it had to offer but all in all, it’s a cozy hotel, with good staff. Doesn’t have heaps to offer but it forces you to explore and not stay in your room. If there was any complaints, it’s that the room was really warm and you couldn’t change the air con, but nothing opening the window can’t fix."

"This is an excellent place to stay in Nagano. It’s a short walk from Nagano Station and a short train or bus ride away to most places you’ll want to see. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the hotel is quiet, and there are laundry facilities and onsen onsite. Highly recommend!"

"Located about a 5 minute walk from Nagano station. Quick check in. Good size room, comfortable and clean. Purchased breakfast buffet and it was very good with lots of variety. Surrounding area is good with lots of shopping. "

"I was later than their last check in and they accommodated me and even made a multi course traditional Japanese meal at 9pm, the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. The onsen was extremely hot and had an absolutely gorgeous view. The older couple that runs it were incredibly kind and hospitable to me, including a shuttle to the Monkeg Park and Yamanaka Station free of charge. The WiFi was good enough for a Microsoft teams call with zero lag whatsoever. I had a wonderful stay here and if I am back in the area I will stay again. "

"My friend had accidentally lost her backpack on the train just before we had arrived to the hotel for check in. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we asked to borrow their phone to call the lost in found center at the train station. After we explained the situation the hotel staff asked us what train we were on and what the backpack looked like and offered to call the station for us to help locate the backpack. This was a huge relief to us because we were worried about the language barrier over the phone. Not only did the hotel staff locate the backpack for us but they also typed out detailed instructions for us in English of where to go to pick up the backpack and what hours that lost/found center would be open. It was so helpful and we were able to get the backpack back easily! Not only was the staff really kind and professional but the hotel itself was really nice. I enjoyed the traditional style room, wearing a yukata for the first time, and being able to take a hot bath in the onsen. This hotel was my favorite on my Japan trip and I want to go back again! "
