It is very calm and peaceful and popular. Placed slightly up the hill it can get wearing walking into town. The restaurant is very popular and for good reason. Do book in advance. They had two big parties in the marquees but I didn’t even notice. All the guests are very well behaved and the rooms very private and I often felt I was the only one there. One thing that would have improved it for me is a small room, a reading room or something where I could have had a coffee and read a book. If it had been warmer and sunny it would have been easy to find a place on the many terraces outside but it wasn’t and inside all tables were taken for lunch, I said it was popular! I was there in February so it’s probably not a common request. It’s a really nice gentle hotel which takes pride in its uniqueness.

It was one of the best historic hotels we have ever stayed at. Beautifully renovated preserving some of the original features. It is walking distance to the castle and the downtown. The surrounding is like a botanical garden with citrus orchards and olive trees. Breakfast by satisfactory too. Highly recommended. Xàtiva is a fabulous small town.

A pleasant stay with wonderful staff
Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was any trouble for them. We found the rooms we stayed in a little dark but they were comfortable and the air conditioning was great. Breakfast was ok- you had to help yourself and the hot food was lukewarm at best. The landscaping around the hotel was beautiful but would have been difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility problems.

The hotel is lovely, clean, modern, friendly staff, good parking. Very nice secluded quiet pool with greenery around it, we had it all to ourselves too! The rooms are spacious, big beds, very nice bathrooms and furniture. No complaints at all

Excellent Special Hotel
This is the second time I’ve stayed at the hotel & we had the suite with private pool both time & it was just as excellent as the first time. The hotel is magical with all the walkways through the garden & the lovely main building of the house. The food was excellent, staff efficient & very friendly, the town is a15 minute walk away & very nice too. We will be back!

Nestled in the mountain with easy access
The hotel is fast becoming iconic. The grounds are incredible. Summer and winter it’s a totally different experience but equally worth while. Highly recommended

Enchanting Hotel
Have wanted to stay at this hotel for a few years & the wait was worth it! We had the suite with the garden & private pool & it was excellent. Inside the suite had two bathrooms, a large separate longe & enormous bedroom with a super king size bed & another seating area. The outside with the pool was very private & had a shaded sitting area as well as landscaped garden. The whole hotel had a secret garden feel & was quiet magical. The staff were friendly & efficient & try to help all the time, breakfast & dinner were excellent. Will definitely be back

Too few staff, purchasing water or a drink outside of mealtimes was not possible and with an empty minibar. Was disappointed as had come from Valencia where a seal to the minibar allowed us to use the fridge for water or soft drinks. it was apparent that the staff were under pressure and could not cope, such a shame as the location and food was excellent

DO NOT GO HERE AT THE WEEKEND!
We had a three night stay from Thursday to Sunday. We had an email to say that there would be "celebrations" on Friday and Saturday that would end at mid-night and that our room was far enough away that it would not be affected. The intolerably loud music BEGAN at 11pm on Friday night and continued until 3am on Saturday morning. It began again around 3pm on Saturday and continued until 11pm. Definitely NOT a relaxing stay. We spoke with other guests of various nationalities all of whom shared our discontent. We registered our complaint at reception and we were told that the email warning us that the noise ended at mid-night was a mistake. He was full of apologies and spoke to the manager. Who obviously did not feel it was worth speaking to us in person. We were given a discount on our meal bill which amounted to 30 euros! The buffet breakfast fell far short of the standard expected of a four star hotel. The pool had obviously not been cleaned for some time and the area around it was frankly a mess.

Gorgeous hotel, so much greenery. Double room was simple and spacious, had everything you need and balcony with beautiful view. Staff and cleaning service was great, good parking. Good location, very quick walk up hill to castle and fine walk into town. Had the best meal I’ve had in a long time at the restaurant at the hotel at reasonable prices. Also lovely restaurants in town especially el tunnel. In summary would definitely recommend. Thank you!

Gorgeous hotel, AMAZING restaurant. The drive up is a bit hairy but well worth it. The castle is v cool to visit & the hotel is pretty much in the castle grounds. Rooms are very comfortable, stunning bathrooms. Highly recommend

One great night for my 64th birthday.
One of the best experiences we’ve had in Spain. On par with the Paradores we’ve stayed at for the last 40 years. Don’t miss the old arab cistern...2 million liters. Read the history on the website and enjoy some great views. Do the castle (closed mondays). Enjoy life.....

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Beautiful location and a very nice hotel. If you are looking for some tranquility and like being surrounded by nature (orange, lemon, grapefruit and other palm trees) thats the place to go. Rooms (Cabanas) were spacious and reasonably tidy, nice terrace, really nice buffet style breakfast with great variety of products. Service top-notch, to the point where when the Mrs had a wasp flying close to her the waiter shooed it away :) . Excellent views at night, the castle is beautifully lit and there are plenty of quiet spots to have a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Highly recommended, you wont be dissapointed

This is a special place. Beautiful views, great architecture in an incredible setting at the foot of the castle. Loved all the foliage on the hotel grounds, which made us feel like we were in Central America. Food was good too. Have fun!

Absolutely superb—go out of your way to stay here!
Knock your socks off beautiful location at the base of the castle, extensive and beautiful grounds filled with citrus and flowering trees, super comfortable rooms with decks and clean and comfortable and great beds, quiet and serene. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful staff. Go out of your way to stay here, it is fantastic. I’m on a bicycle trip around the world, with 300+ hotel nights, and this hotel is in the top five. It’s great.

Quiet retreat just below the castle at Xativa.
A mixture of old and new. Our room was very spacious with a balcony looking over a beautiful garden. We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was very good and reasonably priced.

El sitio es genial, a destacar la zona al lado del casillo, habitación con cama super grande y cómoda, así como el baño. Bebidas en la nevera no muy caras.
