Tlingit Ceremonial House in Wrangell Alaska.
If you go around the back there is a long open shed with 3 very large totem poles lying down that used to stand here but are in need of restoration.

Such a clash of cultures.. the old meets the modern with the motor boats I. The background. These ancient totem poles telling of their family/clan history have been taken down and stored under shelter until they can be restored. I felt so fortunate to be able to see this amazing part of the local culture so up close. Astonishing!

At least a few times a day we saw seaplanes landing and taking off in Wrangell. Then we came across this dock for them.

This is a view from Petroglyph Beach in Wrangell Alaska. It is a short walk from the centre. To be honest there are very little original carvings left on the site. They have been moved to the museum for preservation. The few on the beach are very faded. The beach is still worth checking out. There is a platform with replicas and a lot of information. We collected ferns and got some butcher paper and did a rubbing of a replica. It came out really well.
