From the moment I arrived, my entire experience at this B&B was exceptional. Every interaction with the team felt warm, genuine, and professional — nothing was ever too much trouble, and I truly felt looked after throughout my stay.
My room was spotless, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable. The attention to detail was clear from the fresh linens to the thoughtful layout and amenities. It felt like a perfect space to relax and unwind.

"Having been to Glenridding many many times, this is the first I’ve stayed at Fairlight Guesthouse. It won’t be the last! It was a lovely place to stay; great bedroom, comfy bed, powerful shower, onsite parking, lovely staff and good breakfast. "

"Lovely traditional B&B very close to the centre of Ambleside. The room was clean, warm and beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfortable! Joanna was a great host and I felt very welcome and safe as a solo guest. The breakfast room was charming and I enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast on offer. "Karen is a brilliant hostess. She welcomes you into her beautiful historic, unbelievably cosy home, some of which dates back to the days of Tudor. The rooms are spotlessly clean and warm. The full English breakfast is substantial and very tasty. It is well posted, being only a 5 minute walk from the lakeside and a two minute walk from the bus stop to Keswick or Workington. I will definitely be going back."

"Lorna was a great host, super welcoming and chatty. Room was clean and packed with drinks and biscuits, even had marshmallows for your hot choc! Location was great, just a short walk to town down the scenic railway path. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, "
