"Booked 2 night, 2 rooms stay for our family to attend a wedding in Windsor. Room looked fair newly renovated, clean and modern.
When we checked in at 3:30 pm, both rooms were at 81 degrees Fahrenheit/27 degrees Celsius...and humid/sticky. It was cooler outside the hotel and in the hallways. We turned the air conditioning units on, and one of the rooms cooled down after about and hour and 1/2. The other unit was just blowing out warm air. At the front desk, I was told to unplug the unit, wait 5 minutes and then plug it back in. We wanted to change to attend a rehearsal dinner - but instead were sweating, trying to get our rooms cooled down. After the unplugging and plugging back in, the A/C unit still blew out only warm air, and we had to repack and move all our stuff to another room down the hallway.
This room eventually cooled off nicely.
The rest of our stay was great, although breakfast seating was at a minimum, and very busy due to a very small eating/sitting area - but had great hot breakfast options to start the day.
I understand trying to keep costs down...but you would think that housekeeping could keep the room a cooler temp then 81 degrees for incoming guests."
