"We were in cottage #130 which was in the back with no one to the left of us. Very sweet room. Had everything we needed. Nice hot breakfast, too. The motel is across the street from the Soo Locks so easy to tour them. It’s on a busy street with lots of nice shops but by bedtime things were settled down. We really enjoyed our meal at the Lockview restaurant next door, too! We recommend staying here. Thanks all!!"

"The retro style of the Last Resort really appealed to us. Very spacious rooms and comfy beds. The office was super helpful when we left an expensive item behind. Mike called us and we made arrangements to get it back. You don’t get that kind of service and attention from a big chain. It would have been nice to have in room coffee makers, but there was morning coffee available in the office so we made it work. All in all a great experience!"

"We had a wonderful stay! Josh was the highlight of our experience. He went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met and took the time to answer our questions about the train station. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel genuinely welcome. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hot breakfast was exceptional and a great way to start each day. We truly couldn't recommend this hotel more highly and would gladly stay here again."

"Very satisfied with our room in the lodge and the owners/staff are friendly and accommodating. The lodge has a very interesting history and I loved the antique decor. We took a peek at the motel rooms they also have and those are decorated in 60s/70s theme, clean and large windows that look out to the lake. We may have to try those next time! We enjoyed our stay very much."
