I updated from 2 starts to 3 simply because the manager did reach out to me to try and remedy safety issue. When we arrived several men were sleeping outside property, and 1 man was sleeping at table in breakfast area. Kind of a scary feeling when your 2 females traveling alone at dusk. It was first thing we seen when pulling into property. I mentioned it to front desk and she advised me they were “allowing them to sleep there” they had been in some kind of accident and were waiting for a ride. Which was all day apparently? Maybe give them a room, or something other than common area to sleep? Just suggestion. Manager did call my room and informed me they asked the men to leave. And would be willing to move us closer to front desk for safety reasons. We had already settled in, doors locked etc. I chose this motel for its cleanliness rating. Fell below rating for sure! A lot of body hair on bathroom floor, pool area was very dated, damaged, dirty. Beds are rock hard. Breakfast was subpar. Some cold foamy eggs, cold sausage links. Staff had to repair waffle mix dispenser, it was broke and not working. Motel seemed to for sure be a transit worker motel. Not ideal for solo or family travelers. I wouldn’t stay here again and certainly wouldn’t give it 5 stars for cleanliness.

I liked that the property was close to the freeway. However, they did not have an elevator to the 2nd floor and we had to lug our belongings up the stairs. The breakfast was so-so. It didn’t look like a lot of effort was put into the breakfast offerings. There were no cups out for coffee, There was no oatmeal or boiled eggs and the yogurt was about to expire. At least it was less expensive than the hotels in Cheyenne which is why we kept driving to Wheatland.

We stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Wheatland, WY for one night. We were on our way home from Denver where my husband had just had surgery. I was so refreshing to be in this clean, friendly place at the end of a hard day. Carrie greeted us when we arrived and was very helpful and gave us an easy to access room on the main floor. I would highly recommend this Super 8.

Nice option from the hotel across the street with the Tesla Supercharger in their parking lot. 2 minute walk across the street. Staff is 100% friendlier. Beds were good, room was quiet without ear plugs. Basic room but no complaints, very good value for the $.

We have been traveling a lot and also with our dog. The last place we stayed we didn’t even want our dog to lay on the floor. So we left him at home this trip. This room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable. We got in at midnight and we were greeted quickly by very friendly staff. Breakfast was hot and fresh and another very friendly staff person was there so nice to talk to. We will definitely be back. Reasonably priced and next time we will bring the dog.
