"Owner very helpful and gave us a ground floor room as our ports were heavy. Room was big and although we were only there one night and didn’t use the kitchen it appeared to have everything needed and very clean. Right in town so just short walk to cafe."

Kitchenette was more than adequately stocked for two people. We were worried about noise as our room was closest to a main road near a railway. The traffic did not keep us awake. Other rooms were more distant from the traffic. Definitely recommend as a comfortable place to stay in Ashburton."

"My wife and I stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. We didn’t make use of the amenities so I am not able to comment on them. The term “Resort” is a little misleading however as for hotel accommodation, it is good. While a little dated, the Methven Resort has all that is needed for a comfortable stay. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable and bathroom was clean. The hotel is located a short 5 minute walk into the town centre. It has ample parking. We were located on the ground floor and could see the mountains from our room window over the rear car park. Overall, it was clean and tidy. I would stay at the Methven Resort again."
