"The room was very clean, no odor, bed and pillows were comfy. Staff were accommodating and kind. The bistro/restaurant has AMAZING food. I mean really, really tasty food. Honestly, I have NO idea why people would complain about this hotel. It is a historic hotel and almost 200 years old. I think you'd have to be a half-brained nitwit to expect it to be modern looking inside. As for the ghosts....I didn't get to see or hear any while we visited. I stayed in Rm 207. I would definitely stay here...

"Easy walking to the main street"

"The cabin was clean, cozy and provided amenities i did not expect from a rustic cabin. The resort was quiet, peaceful and safe. Checking in and out or even asking questions was a bit confusing as there was never anyone in the store/front desk to assist even tho it says open from noon-8, you're just instructed to go to the bar which doesn't open until 11:30am. Check out is 11am tho so i just left the keys on the desk. "

"The ambiance of the property and hotel is lovely. We were a bit put off at arriving an 1 1/2 early and being told without even asking what our names were or what room that it was not ready. We would have preferred them saying they don’t allow early access or charges us a pro rated amount for the room. The restaurant is very good and our waiter was wonderful. Outside of the initial interaction with the front desk, the time was wonderful "
