"The hotel is in a great location for navigating around DC. Bear in mind that we were there during Memorial Weekend, so we didn't experience the usual traffic. We also didn't visit the hotel bar, experience its food, or use its gym. The hotel mentions it has Pelotons but the rest of their equipment is bare minimum in terms of strength machines and free weights. The Darcy also touts that it is dog-friendly which basically means dogs are allowed to stay. They did not offer any amenities for dogs or even a welcome treat as other dog-friendly hotels tend to do. Additionally, they place guests with dogs on the second floor. I'm not sure what the other rooms were like, but our carpet was filthy to the point that I never once walked on it barefoot. It also smelled like a locker room. We were also a bit disappointed that the room didn't look like the photos you see online. The linens are the same, but the room itself is very small and the bathroom is tiny. Prepare to pay $35 per day for amenities like bottles of purified water, in-room coffee, and the gym - whether you use them or not."
