"Bridget, the motel manager, was lovely—she called ahead to check our arrival time and made sure everything was perfect with the room. The place has been nicely renovated. We drove, so we’re not sure about nearby facilities, but Wanaka is absolutely beautiful.

"I book for 1 bedroom apartment that can fit 4 people, We have to pay NZ$ 50 for every extra persons ( which include my 4 year old girl) , have to pay for internet.The room is quite old and in second floor, we have to drag all the luggage up to the apartment. "Loved it! Easy walking distance to the lake and heaps of cafes. We stayed in the budget 2 bedroom self contained cottage and although old it was the perfect choice for us and excellent value for money. I thought we would be really cold but there were heaps of blankets and more than enough heaters to go round. Great spot to set yourself up in for access to Cardrona and the Snow Farm. $10 to rent a kitchen package (plates, pots etc.). How bout $$10 refundable deposit. ( A surprise for travelers blowing through…. Where every other stop all was provided).
Cabin was nice but no towels. Showers were $1 increasing to $2.
