We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, the location was perfect, and the breakfast was great! Would absolutely come here again.
The room was so clean and comfortable. The staff were fantastic and nothing was a problem. Always happy to help. Breakfast was excellent and a good choice.
Excellent property, friendly staff, and beautiful location in Visby. Rooms are simple but in great condition and stocked with all the essentials. Good breakfast every morning, plus coffee and tea included in the stay. Would recomment for a relaxing getaway in Visby
Really liked that it was close to the main square but in a quiet neighborhood. Also had a Viking chic vibe. Hosts were great. Charming outdoor area with seating.
Perfect location, close to cathedral and other attractions. Easy check in when we arrived very late in the evening. Complimentary tea, coffee available for guests 24/7. Parking in the hotel property very convenient since Visby old town has very limited parking space. Breakfast was very nice with fresh home baked bread.
Staff will do everything to make sure your trip to Visby is a wonderful one. We had a personal emergency come up and the hotel owner sprung into action to make sure we could handle the situation as smoothly as possible from Sweden.
Excellent breakfast included with gluten free options, room was lovely - old touches like stained glass and exposed brick wall but also modern, and the location was two turns away from the tourist hub, so it was quiet. The courtyard is lovely. Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else on Gotland island.
The hotel is charming and very personal in a great central location. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly as well. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden with home baked breads and home made marmalade, looking at old ruins. The only downsides were that our room was rather small, and my partner kept walking into the bed frame. It was also facing right into the parking lot with rather frequent people traffic.. Considering the price, we would have expected a little more..
The quality of the hotel was great, but I have experienced grat before. The surroundings was magical. Everything from the old benches to the amazing garden we ate breakfast in the morning sun. Evrywhere there was these small details as for example the heart shaped stone weights for the outside table cloths. But what took it over and beyond was the level of service and the engagement. I honestly recommend everyone to have at least a couple of nights here!
This is a charming hotel in an antique building with modern updates. Beds were comfortable and spacious rooms with modern, clean, if small, bathrooms. Breakfast was marvelous, with many gf & lactose free options, including homemade gf breads & hard crackers and homemade jams, marmalade, apple butter & local honey. Breakfast area is comfortable and cozy (even has sound quieting ceiling panels). The outside garden area was lovely in the sunshine for dining, coffee/tea drinking or just lounging. There is a little bar area for beer or wine and a small sitting room with a fireplace. Apparently no two bedrooms are alike. We stayed in #5 at the top of the stairs. We had a view of the Cathedral from our window. Very private. There is a coffee and tea making station for self serve available 24/7. I noticed a car charging station in the parking area. Hotel is an easy walk to town square, the museum (a must see!), the ancient city wall, and lots of fine dining. Owner, Tobias gave us recommendations for
G:A Masters restaurant, really excellent. The lovely Ammi (whom my husband dubbed CBO - Chief Breakfast Officer) gave us dinner recommendations of Lindgarden, an old fine dinning establishment, also excellent, as well as a wonderful place on the island Fårö, where we had gf buckwheat galettes in a field of wildflowers. She gave me the recipes for her terrific gf bread, rolls & hard crackers!!!
Hotel Helgeand was a superb choice for us in every way. I highly recommend it!!!
This is a beautiful building set among the historic walled city.
Breakfast is delicious with lots of home baked produce.
The hosts are lovely and the garden where breakfast and afternoon tea are served is quiet but extremely convenient for the old town
Enjoyed the superb hospitality of Hotel Helgeand Wisby. The hotel building itself is filled with the characters. Visby was definitely the highlight of our trip.
The hotel is very unique with some parts of the structure dating to the 13th century and decorated in a rustic medieval style. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is fantastic and the owners very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.
This is a beautiful property. It is hosted by Tobias and Ulrika. They are a lovely couple, very devoted to the guests. The rooms are large and comfortable. It is a very quiet spot, and very restful. I cannot say enough good things about the hosts and the property.
I really liked staying at the oldest part of the hotel from 1200 century. It gave my stay a kind of a mystic feeling about it all. So much history from this place and the city as well. The kitchen was clean and very intimate. It was as if I was back in those times sitting there.

Ett mycket trivsamt hotell i byggnader med lång historia i väggarna.
Trevligt bemötande och god frukost med hemgjord müsli.
