"This was an amazing hotel full of games and all sorts of fun for the kids like mini golf and go carts. It is very conveniently placed with short travel distance to good food, shops while not being to far from all of the parks or Des Moines bike and nature trails. The staff was amazing and very helpfull. At one point there was some trouble with them and Expedia but they were all over it. They fixed everything and told me not to worrie about it. "The parking lot needed a few more lights at the ends of the parking. The key did not work on the side doors to get in. Would be nice to have automatic doors to get in the building. Breakfast was so so. Didn't eat breakfast or drink coffee. When we checked in the staff member did change our room from the second floor to the main floor. Which was great for two handicapped people. Thank you for that. Not an elevator. "

"Clean staff air condition"

"Fleas! I was there an hour. I was covered in flea bites. I just wanted a couple days to rest before I have a baby. The manager was hostile. He did not issue a refund, even though I checked out almost immediately. One of the staff was concerned about my staying there because it’s such an unsafe motel. They were talking about how to keep people breaking into my room to hurt me. A dog was barking loudly… I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in this place for more than an hour."

"The room was filthy. Is it really that hard to wipe down dirty areas of the walls, the corners of the floors and behind and under the bed? Or cleaning underneath the shelves in the shower. Come on Baymont, do better! Make sure the people you're hiring to clean, actually know how to clean!"

"Although the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the staff acted as if they had never checked anyone in before, went down twice to eat breakfast,the first time at 6:15 and it wasn’t even open yet, no one around! The second time was at 7:15 and they were open but all that was available was coffee! Went back to the room packed up and went back down to check out and no one was at the desk. Found them outside smoking cigarettes! We stay at Super 8 quite a bit, and this was by far the worst...
