It’s not in the main city of Venice but if you would like to stay away from the crowd this is a good place. A lot of local restaurants to eat around and you are away from the tourists trap. Would recommend the hotel.

The room was satisfactory and clean. However the amenities and staff was not supportive of our needs. Upon our travels I was pregnant and others in the party was elderly, then another fell sick. And when we asked for hot water, they were not helpful, suggesting we buy it down the street! I have never travelled to a hotel where we could not request for a kettle or hot water upon request

Loved the place. It is 5 miles away from transport station, but very easy to get there with bus #19. After a day in the really busy area of the grand canal of Venice, it was nice to get to this quiet and impeccable space.

Needed a place to stay overnight before heading out to the Dolomites. Hotel Altieri was a good choice. The room was a little outdated, but clean. The staff was excellent and very helpful, even helped find another guest to split the fare to the airport (was raining and we didn't want to walk to the bus stop even though it was very close.) The breakfast that was included was very good and fullfilling.

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and it is really good, it was clean, the beds are good and the air conditioning works really well, very polite and friendly staff, they helped us with the hotel and also gave us some hints about where to visit, surely will be back soon

Small hotel, very clean, the staff was very helpful and nice, they explain to you how to get everywhere on bus. Super close to the bus station. I would definitely use them again if I have the chance.

You get what you pay for!

The hotel location was approx3 miles from airport which was nice. The AC in room was loud and did not work properly! The bed was uncomfortable. The cost was very affordable and getting to Venice with the bus was very easy (approx 20 minutes bus ride)

One night stay before flight

Pretty decent for the price, but I would have appreciated real blankets with duvet covers and not just quilts with bedsheets. My colleague had some open electric wires from broker hair dryer recepticle. Generally the room was clean and not too worn out. There was a gated parking at the back of the hotel and it didn't cost extra.

2 senior ladies. Stayed 3 nights. Room unclean on arrival; no house-keeping staff after 2:00pm; B’fast costs 7€pp- nothing hot, no fruit; no hot water available for tea after 10am(we had our own bags); 3€ charge for 1 fresh hand towel; safe didn’t work-staff was consulted; no screen on ground floor window- could not leave window open; no grab bar in shower or bathroom at all; only 5 hangers in closet that were seriously too flimsy to hold a sweater. Two positives: comfortable beds; lots of hot water for shower with good pressure. Would not stay here again.

Good experience Price versus Quality

Hotel Altieri is located in a quiet and safe area, close to public transportation, tram (recently bus substituting tram) and bus, which takes you to the historical Venice within 30 minutes. My room was spacious and comfortable, the cleanliness excellent. I can not judge the breakfast because I don't eat breakfast in the morning, otherwise I would take advantage of its availability in the hotel. The thing I disliked was non functional TV and as I stayed for 10 nights, I was missing it. Although I communicated the issue to the reception staff, no one was able to fix it. The next thing I disliked was the request of the hotel not to eat in the room. For example customers with diabetes or other health condition who have to eat more often and need to take a bite of something even after dinner in a restaurant before bed, might find this unacceptable. Eating is not smoking in the room and as long as customers don't trash the room with food, I personally don't see the reason why the hotel imposed such measure. I liked very much the advanced security measure of the hotel, and that is, you can not take the key card of your room with you when leaving the hotel for your visits of Venice or otherwise and you have to leave it at the reception at all times. Very good thing I consider is also the reception available 24/7.
