"We had a family room which doesn’t afford much privacy and there’s not much to do around here Hótel itself. But it was nice, clean, and the breakfast was amazing."

"I loved staying at the Aurora Igloo North. I fell asleep watching clouds and stars. I woke up seeing horses and mountains. My room was very clean. The room had a heater and a fan. The bed was heated and had the most luxurious comforters so I wasn't cold in the middle of the night. Someone attends to the kitchen and shared bathrooms throughout the day, so the places stay tidy and well stocked with clean fluffy towels. When I showered at 6pm the shower gel was empty and still empty the next morning at 7am. I used the plentiful shampoo instead to wash my body so it was fine. Sometimes there is a short wait to use the bathroom. The kitchen has a complimentary coffee machine and tools to cook even though I didn't use them. For the price, I think this place was a great value for such a unique and lovely experience."

"We did not realize that this hotel was not in fact in Hvammstangi, but rather a 30 minute drive on a dirt road. However, the location was really beautiful, with horses in the pasture next door, and water views. We had a room with a private bath. We ate dinner in Hvammstangi proper (the restaurant above the Seal Museum), and then drove to the hotel and had late check in at 9:30pm. Breakfast was solid. The room was sparse, but adequate. We just needed a place to sleep, shower, and get breakfast, and this placed sufficed."

"Great property and nice and cozy. The sink was a bit small. The view is gorgeous! It is abit out of town, but i like it. There are 4 properties and 1 is occupied by the owner? He is a nice person who came out to greet us on arrive even though we arrived at 7PM. There is a kitchen area and sink with pots and pan if you like to cook your own food there. Just know there is nothing nearby for about 10 miles. Worth the cost and stay."

"Friendly staff, warm, clean, cozy room with a private bath. The building has a common living room and a shared kitchen with everything you need to cook. Keep in mind that the nearest grocery store or restaurant is 30 minutes away. There are three wonderful dogs that patrol the farm and ste your hearts for some ball throwing and pets. Great location if you have plants to go towards Akeyaki or Western Iceland."

"Love the design and set up of the room, perfect place to stay or even spend a day, the host is friendly and nice, he own lovely dog that love to play with plus you can see the horses and beautiful scenery . Our fam love it."

"This was one of our most favorite stays during our travels along Iceland's Ring Road. The location is a bit remote, so be aware when planning for food or other things to do. We used this location simply based on our itinerary, but we're so glad we did! The cottages were extremely clean, well-furnished, had everything we needed...and the views were stunning waking up with a relaxing coffee staring off at the amazing landscape. The hosts were very detailed with check-in, check out and anything you needed to know about the cottage. We'd definitely recommend this stop if you've got the opportunity!!"
